We had a little kitchen, but were not given a towel for the kitchen. The pillow was horrible, very flat and lumpy. Site said blackout curtains, but they were just black curtains that light could shine through. Otherwise the location and cabin were good. "

Alesund is beautiful. We almost ended up eliminating it from our itinerary due to the effort required to get to and from (flight from Bergen and then a flight to Trondheim) but I'm so glad we didn't. Our fjord tour was a lovely day.

"We arrived just after the kitchen closed after having travelled a long way . Given it was my birthday I was hoping for a special meal . When I told the receptionist it was my birthday the chef said I will sort it for you . He prepared us a delicious meal of fish soup and king prawns and pasta with homemade butter . It was truly delicious and I would say Michelin star level . What a kind man . The breakfast was equally delicious with homemade muesli and homemade biscuits with the normal extras and even freshly cut sandwiches and freshly baked pastries . The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful .the downstairs decor was modern annd our room was big annd spacious with comfortable beds . All in all I would throughly recommend . Without a doubt the best food we have eaten in Norway 😃😃"
