Glasgow is love. It is friendly, feels safe, big enough to explore yet small enough to get from A to B. One never tires of it. The centre, Victorian architecture, museums, libraries, cafes, shopping malls and eateries, it is a delight to roam about

Glasgow has a rich history which is worth exploring. Museums and Art galleries include a fabulous collection called the Burrell which is well worth the less than an hour's ride. The City has changed beyond all recognition over the last 50 years.

A lively city. We expected it to be quiet on Sun/Mon/Tues stay, but found plenty of lively places on these nights. Live music venues and The Stand comedy club. All either walking distance or cheap taxi rides away. Will definitely return.

If you have never been to Glasgow you are missing out. Don't bother with Edinburgh and its castle. Glasgow is very much the place to be. Lively, vibrant and divers as well as being one of the friendlies cities you will ever visit.
"The property is right at the centre of the city. The room we were given was accessible room instead of double deluxe. We have a walk-in shower the leaks from the shower head.(clearly needs attention). The sink is not draining properly. The breakfast is mediocre. Bit much of coffee.I wouldn’t recommend it "
"This hotel offered excellent amenities and a convenient location near the city center of Glasgow. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, making the stay even more enjoyable. In addition, the surrounding area is filled with fantastic restaurants, giving plenty of great options just steps away. For comfort, service, and easy access to everything the city has to offer, I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Delighted with our stay! Greeted from the beginning with a friendly check-in which included great information.
Breakfast was busy at times but staff worked hard and very well to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Very happy with the room, air conditioning was easy to use when neeed. Bathroom was terrific with a great shower.
Loved the location by the river and Glasgow Green nearby.
We had a couple of requests during our time there which were acted upon with great care. Thanks to all the staff who made it a lovely stay. "
"We have stayed in this hotel before and love it This time we had a suite Room was fairly big bed comfortable amenities good lovely warm shower We took advantage of our free drinks in Champagne Central ( well that was closed but the room beside it and although not as stylish it was fine) Breakfast was great (lovely to not have to cook it) So overall relaxing only downside was it was too short!!! "
"Lovely hotel in a great location for Glasgow city centre.
Nice spaciuous room, friendly staff throughout all services in the hotel.
My partners birthday celebration was memorable. Thank you "
"I stayed in 1 of the attic rooms; size, bed and bath were comfortable. There were gaps around the window casement that during winter would be a problem. I stayed during a hot spell and would have appreciated a room fan. No air conditioning (there is a radiator heater) and no lift. "
"Great friendly service, quiet peaceful comfortable nights, good food, excellent selection of choices for cooked breakfast, convenient for walking and bus services to Glasgow Queens Street Station. Great idea to have option of cleaners coming every two days and customers being given drink tokens as a reward."
"Great property and good location. Close to city centre and walkable distance. Very spacious room with the facility for kitchenette and cutlery which was quite convenient. Budget wise it was definitely worth it."
"We had a really comfortable stay at Dakota Glasgow. We were travelling with our nine month old baby, and the cot provided was excellent – they even included extra blankets for her and a teddy bear. The bed was also very comfortable.
The hotel feels modern and well maintained, so everything works smoothly. The shower was great, the place smells fresh, and it is well located – about a 15 minute walk from Glasgow Central, making it very convenient if you are arriving by train. If you are driving, there is also a small parking area.
The reception staff were kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend staying here."
"An extremely helpful and friendly restaurant manager helped us and young child get a meal fast in the fully booked restaurant after we informed her of our early flight. It was much appreciated."
"Stayed one night as base for oasis gig in Edinburgh.
Great price. Good room, comfortable bed, warm shower, clean and tidy. Ten minute walk to Glasgow Central, great staff."
"I've stayed here many times over the years and its a decent enough hotel.
Rooms are a little dated but fit for purpose.
Location is great for Glasgow west end.
Staff are great and breakfast is decent enough also.
Large car park but might be chargeable.
Havent ate there often but its pretty expensive from what I can remember."
"We absolutely loved this property. It was perfectly centrally located to transportation, dining and shopping, and the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful."
