"As with any historic hotel, one should not expect everything to be shiny and perfect. That being said, this hotel is pretty well maintained, and its charm makes up for the cracks in the walls. The location can’t be beat! Our room was quite comfortable with a lovely view overlooking the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. "

"Always a wonderful stay. A wonderful boutique hotel. Room access can be a challenge for those not in shape ( you need to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the rooms) but it is well worth it. Rooms are spacious yet cozy.

"The two female receptionist were very friendly, breakfast was nice, and the bed was comfortable. There were a few spots on the sheets and towels. Unless you specifically ask for room service (new sheets, towels, etc) they will not come into the room. If you are handicapped, please make sure you ask for the ground floor. The hotel does not have an elevator. "
