The breakfast that was made fresh every morning was by far the best we have ever had. The little extras like wine time with cheese and crackers made the weekend even better. "As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more special. Cheese, crackers, wine, dark chocolate and chocolate chip cookies greeted us. The following days breakfast was excellent. I was very pleased that the current proprietor would listen to my history and share what he knew. It was once owned as a family venture, bakery/general store/boarding house and is again being well taken care of by another family. When I return to do further research I will again stay there and check out the ghost that will not let the basement door stay closed. Thank you to Farmers Guest House for making our stay so special."
