Tugboat Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay in Boothbay Harbor. Tugboat was walking distance to everything and the view was great for relaxing! Parking pass made spending time in the waterfront convenient. Food on the rooftop was excellent! "
"I really enjoyed my stay at Topside Inn. The staff there are great and will try to make you feel at home. The rooms are really beautiful as well.
My one issue that I encountered after my first stay there was billing. They said they have moved to a new billing system so I can understand growing pains and once I brought it to their attention, they fixed it quickly. I had planned to spend time there during the upcoming Labor Day but after no response to my email once I received an email I was being charged for my stay in a few weeks, I received a rude response back. Unfortunately, I don’t want to return to a place that treats any guest or person like that. "
"Enjoyed our Boothbay Harbor stay. Comfortable beds, beautiful harbor views, you can park the car and walk everywhere. Walk over the Footbridge for dining and shops."
"This is a very clean place to stay, the rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and they even gave you breakfast buffet for free. We will definitely be staying here again 😃"
"Everything about this stay was terrific. Such an inviting b&b. And the flaky breakfast pies were the best! When I mentioned going to the Boothbay Botanical Gardens, the innkeeper offered me a discounted ticket. "
"Beautiful, renovated property in a quiet part of Boothbay Harbor. The restaurant was great for dinner and the complimentary breakfast buffet. We really enjoyed sailing on one of their O'Day 19 boats, and many other water toys are available. The pool looked nice, but was very crowded. They did not honor our Expedia VIP Perk, but we would definitely return to the resort in the future."
"Great spot in Boothbay Harbor Maine. Walkable area to restaurants, boat excursions, shops and waterfront. Easy parking on premises. Check in time on our Expedia booked reservation states 2:00pm-4:00pm check in. We received a text message from the Inn manager letting us know check in was at 4:00pm and to send him a text when we were close to arrival. Other than the time difference check in was seamless and informative. Property manager was friendly and accommodating and walked us around the common areas of both buildings Admirals Quarters where the main office is and the greenleaf building where we stayed. They both have a shared kitchen area and living room dining room areas.
Our room was advertised as a private penthouse king with direct access to the sky deck. The room was on the small side but worked for our short stay and had fold out luggage storage which was convenient for our belongings. We had a small refrigerator as well. Bed was on the soft side which didn’t work well for me but was fine for my husband. Lots of light comes in early morning but we are early risers so no issue for us. The view out of the windows from the bed was beautiful. All upgrades were well done. Neighbors sliding door was right next to ours which accesses the shared deck. You could hear your neighbor as well when inside.
The property is set up with a sense of community most areas are shared including decks, chairs, grounds both inside and out. Typical of most Inn’s. "
"Lovely house with great wraparound porch and gorgeous plants & trees. The lilacs, which I love, were blooming which was absolutely delightful - so aromatic and beautiful!
The bed was very comfy and the view of the town and water was joyful. There's a lovely art gallery, used bookstore, and plenty of dining options nearby.
A very sweet couple manages the inn and they're excellent cooks - Captain Sawyer's breakfast was beyond delicious - one day it was just me and they served huevos rancheros and posette - incredible! ...The kitchen is down the hall from the rooms so if you wish there are opportunities for social time.
The only thing that I'd recommend as a future update - as with many stately old New England homes, the bathroom could use a refresh - including some new caulking."
"We enjoyed our stay at Spruce Point. The amenities were great, the food was delicious, staff were kind and courteous.Housekeeping was awesome, we received service daily which some hotels do not do anymore."
"We loved this place. Beautiful new rooms with full fridge/freezer and k-cup coffee machine. Porch all around the building was so nice to have to breakfast and take-out dinner. The breakfast at this b&b were fantastic. You have a choice of three things the night before and they deliver to your room in the morning. We ate on the porch overlooking the harbor. 2 minute walk to town and shops and restaurants. No car needed once you’re there. Loved it. mark who took care of us was fantastic!"
