St. Helena is a good place to visit in the off season (winter time) when the traffic is lighter and the restaurants less crowded. Wine tasting though, isn't what it used to be pre-pandemic. Tasting now costs $50-60 and is not comp'ed if you buy wine.

Excellent
Downtown St. Helena is a nice little area, with several very good dining options, both coffee/breakfast and dinner. Many little shops with unique offerings offer a inviting break between winery visits.

In addition to the many boutiques and galleries in St. Helena we walked to the Orin Swift Cellars Tasting Room and Model Bakery. Great meals at Press and Cook St. Helena.

Model Bakery (the English muffins). We did a few wineries but certainly can not speak for all of them but V Sattui definitely has a great variety and amazing little gift/cafe area.

"Fantastic base for a 1-night stay in Napa. Lovely room, hot spa tub and excellent continental breakfast. Good evening meal food options at Oxbow Public Market a short drive away. "
"Everything was really nice and clean and inviting. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and professional. The pool area and outside area was really nice as well as the breakfast it was good. Definitely stay here again. "
"The blackout curtain that could be pulled along a ceiling track to darken the area around the bed if someone else wanted to sit on the couch and read at night was an excellent amenity! The full kitchen including a microwave, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher were impressive perks, along with dishes and silverware. The salt and pepper shakers very cleverly had individual packets in them. Our small dog was also welcomed there with plenty of outside areas to check out. Thanks to all the staff for being so responsive and friendly!"

"The property was cute! And there's a Trader Joe's nearby that's convenient. We had a kitchenette that came with a microwave, convection oven, and stagg water kettle! So handy. And a sink for washing! The room was super clean, bed comfy - it's just a renovated motel so it's a bit noisy. But not a dealbreaker. The staff was nice at check in, but we did get a knock on the door from housekeeping waking us at 8 AM on Sunday, the day we were checking out, which wasn't ideal. Overall not so bad though! "
"Amazing room with view to the vineyard. Common Bar in the lobby has an amazing staff who are more than welcome to make sure you have an outstanding evening. "
"SENZA hotel was a great stay in Napa. The hotel gives luxury boutique. We had a vineyard room that was so beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive. There was enough parking. The hotel is about 6 min drive to Yountville and their yummy restaurants. We would definitely stay again! "
"I had a great time in Sonoma the wineries around were super beautiful it was a great drive around the city. The staff were very helpful with great spirit to them. Staff in breakfast room was extremely helpful and kind. The pool was closed :/ we were a bit bummed about that but it was okay since we were busy with family.
I forgot about free breakfast until the last day lol I got yogurt, bagels , cereal and coffee! . You had to call to get ur room serviced but I actually liked that option.
Only small complaint is I saw a nail polish mark on one of bottom of the bedding , it was clean but I think it probably stained after washed.. other than that it was a reasonably good stay.

"The property is well maintained, the rooms are nice, a little expensive for what you get, but comparable to everything in the area. Worth upgrading your room."
"Such a cute place to stay. You own individual cottage with full kitchen. It’s a little tight when you bring suitcases but minor issue. Staff was so nice and helpful. Would be fun to come with more people and get your places next to each other. Small shared patio on some. Great place. "
