"Very happy with the hotel and location. We had a double room with two bathrooms. I’ll never understand hotels using full size beds when there’s plenty of room for a queen. The room was large enough to accommodate bigger beds. Luckily it was just me and my 6 year old for this trip so it was great. The hotel offered some nice amenities that we unfortunately didn’t have time to use. The second bathroom was a nice perk of the room. The beds were comfortable enough. Not too hard and not too springy. The hotel is lovely. Beautiful old architecture and the lobby is stunning! "
"Loved the lake view. The suite setup was nice, and I appreciated the mini kitchen with micro, fridge and sink (though fridge and micro were in a very low cabinet and a little awkward to reach. Location was excellent. A very good value for all of these good things. Two areas for improvement: staff up a bit so check in, check out, and bell service is faster. And stock that coffee station with a few more napkins. Good experience overall!"
"My husband and I stayed at The Allegro for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. It was my husband’s first time in Chicago and we could not have asked for a better stay. The location is perfect and the staff is amazing. We had a late flight after the 11am check-out time and the hotel let us check our bags for a few hours so we could fit in a little more exploration before heading home. We will definitely be visiting again! "
"so I gotta say The royal sonesta river north in particular is amazing it feels more like a hotel, it feels like a small community and all the staff and guest know each other. The front desk woman Gabby is amazing and dope as heck. Shaunda is a travel guide there, shes hilarious and gave us wonderful recommendations in the area. Antwonne is a dope Bellman great service and attitude. Every detail was perfect Jessenia apart of the housekeeping staff has such good attention to detail when it came to fixing up and cleaning the room everything was so organized and neat. Now to the room it couldn't have been more perfect they upgraded us to the luxury suite and it was beautiful (use the tub as much as you can)"
"Nice and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to bus stop (bus 20) takes you to Magnificent Mile, The Bean…and bus 8 took us right to Rate field for a White Sox game. Just blocks down from Randolph Ave… lots of fun outdoor eateries!!
Only recommendation- don’t take a room next to elevator because you’ll hear it go up and down ALL night long."
"Loved the Palmer House Hotel!!! The lobby, amazing decoration! I even took a picture of it to post on social. The bar and restaurant area, very popular and looked like everyone was enjoying themselves! The room, well, not the best, but this was an occasion where I booked last minute and through a 3rd party on lalapalooza weekend. So, I was happy to just get a bed and a shower! But could use some upgrades. Overall, the help was extremely courteous and helpful. The amenities were perfectly accommodating and it gave me and my daughter a place to comfortably call home for the night! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!"
"It was totally worth the money as it had the best amenities, great views overlooking the city, and the river, staff was phenomenal, and couldn’t ask for more!"
"Me and my wife stood for a little getaway and celebration of our anniversary. This hotel and staff is wonderful great attitude cleanliness was beautiful. Food was great. We had sushi from one restaurant for dinner and then the next morning we had a breakfast buffet in the main restaurant. The food was delicious.
