Amazing View!

The view from this hotel is why you want to come here, and it does not disappoint. It is truly amazing! Staff was nice and check-in was easy but it is definitely a trek if you are wanting to explore Lucerne and use this as a home base. Without a car it is about a 1 hour trip via public transport. And Ubers/Taxis will run you north of $150 to/from Lucerne.

Stunning views

The views were stunning from the restaurant and that’s why I gave it a 5 star. The room was warm and cozy but the hair dryer didn’t work. No one really answered the telephone number listed on their site and since we were arriving late we had questions. Luckily they had another number posted outside where someone answered but they should really send checkin details for late arrivals via email so it is more reliable. It’s pretty dark in Seelisberg. Otherwise had a lovely stay.

Good stay for a few nights

Good stay for a few nights with comfortable beds. The walls are very thin, so you can hear the water running and neighbours talking next door. The views of the mountains from the balcony are amazing, so worth the noise from next door. The breakfast staff was hit or miss - one very rude, impatient woman one day lecturing us for arriving at 9:20, a quiet, friendly one the next day. Self check-in worked well, as we arrived later and the reception was closed.

I stayed here five nights total. The first few nights were nice, but night 4 and 5 a large tour group came and the hotel staff only cared about them, prioritizing them above all other guests. We went to dinner and were told “no openings” by a rude staff member. Another staff member said come by in 30 minutes. We did, but then didn’t even get a menu for 25 minutes after that and she tried to make us sit in a corner near another couple when there were 10 other tables available. We complained, but no one cared. We left. All of the parking was taken up by the two tour buses; we asked the same staff member (female staff member, older, limited English) what to do and she said “oh” and just shrugged. Too bad!! Another staff member was helpful and moved her car so we could park. The restaurant staff is quite rude. We wouldn’t stay here again because of this poor service. If they can’t handle their guests and a tour group, they shouldn’t allow them all to book.

Une vue splendide - pas de regret sur mon choix

Magnifique vue! Indiscutable! Grande chambre agrĂ©able et lumineuse malgrĂ© la mĂ©tĂ©o que j'ai eu (pluie et nuage 😉) Dans l'ensemble bon sĂ©jour mais il y a de beaux axes d'amĂ©liorations. Je recommande quand mĂȘme cette hotel malgrĂ© les remarques ci dessous 🙃 reposant et ressourçant. Petit dĂ©jeuner tout Ă  fait correct avec une vue Ă  couper le souffle. Gros point positif. Propose un restaurant pour diner. Tout Ă  fait correct cĂŽtĂ© plat mais cher pour ce que c'est. On paie la vue peut-ĂȘtre. La serveuse Ă©tait trĂšs sympathique et Ă©tait en apprentissage. Bon sĂ©jour mais attention aux details, mĂ©nage et Ă©quipements. Attention aux cheveux sur les serviettes et oreillers/literie mĂȘme si cela etait propre dans l'ensemble. Cendrier avec des mĂ©gots sur la terrasse du prĂ©cĂ©dent passage! Une fois demandĂ© de le nettoyer, cela a Ă©tait fait avec la chambre. Merci pour la rĂ©activitĂ©. Voir pour changer le mobilier extĂ©rieur (vieux). Changement impĂ©ratif Ă  faire selon moi, le rideau de douche en le remplaçant par une vitre cela Ă©vitera de mettre de l'eau en dehors du petit bac et sera plus hygiĂ©nique. Petit plus Ă  proposer pour les touristes Ă©trangers un vrai lit double :) car deux couettes et deux sommiers sĂ©parĂ©s ce n'est pas un lit double. Matelas Ă  changer car trĂšs mou et quelque chose grince/couine quand on bouge. Pas de prise Ă  cotĂ© du lit. Vraiment dommage. Voir pour mettre un mini frigo et bouilloir mais c'est sĂ»re que cela demandera plus de temps de mĂ©nage. Parking sur place gratuit.
