Awesome little gem

This is definitely my ‘go to’ in Scarborough. Very clean, friendly staff, and parking. Rooms are small, but I would definitely choose this over a well known hotel chain. A couple of the rooms have a shared bathroom, but don’t let this put you off. Only downside for some may be the stairs which are steep and narrow. over the road is a great pub as well.

Amazing little gem

This guest house is one of the cleanest properties I have stayed in. Rooms are compact, but comfortable. The shared bathroom isn’t really shared as a lot of the rooms have en-suite, so don’t let it put you off if that is the only room available. The towels provided are thick and fluffy. Deania the host is very welcoming and will make sure you are happy.

We booked Thoresby Guest House as it was within 20 mins walking distance of Scarborough Open Air Theatre. We were given a warm welcome by Deania, manager of the Thoresby and shown our room. It was perfect for our needs. We had a view of the North Bay and a really comfy bed. Deania showed us a couple of other rooms in the morning as we checked out. There are room options for all party sizes. Thanks for a lovely stay. We would definitely book again.

Great location, easy to walk to north beach but also, town centre and south beach are close enough to walk to. For the price I paid I wasn’t expecting too much but this guesthouse has everything you might need and more for a few days away, it’s very clean and the rooms are spacious and well organised. The staff was super nice and my double bed was one of the best I’ve ever slept on! I would definitely go back!

Booked for the Paul Weller conceet at the open air arena. The arena was 10mins walk from hotel. Lovely friendly check in and room was lovely. Fab concert and fab night stay.

Last minute stay.

We only booked the day before in order to attend a Scarborough Outdoor Theatre show. Rick was brilliant in letting us know our room would be ready early for us and how to go about parking etc. The room was great, really comfy bed, clean, well thought out and with nice touches to make our stay comfortable. Centrally placed between North and South Bay, easy to walk to both. Would highly recommend,especially if visiting for Theatre or the cricket.

Very small room and very limited 'sea view'. Very quiet however division between another room not soundproof and we could hear all conversation of neighbours. They could obviously hear ours as they tapped on the wall !!! The room and premises were spotlessly clean.

Excellent stay the hosts were very accommodating and kept checking we had everything we needed they couldn't do enough for us. Overall the room was clean and tidy, we enjoyed our stay. The location wasn't too far from anything. The parking situation was great as we didn't have to worry about paying like at some hotels or b and bs in the area. We was also given a parking badge that allowed use to park anywhere in Scarborough for up to two hours. Thank you for an amazing stay we definitely will be back 😀
