We enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon. The hotel’s location next to Gare de Lyon is a definite plus. The area offers several good restaurants, including the one at the hotel, and it’s conveniently close to Île de la Cité. We would definitely choose this hotel again for a future stay.

We didn’t really get to enjoy as it was our last night in Paris and stayed here for one night after coming back from Nice. Gare de Lyon is right around the corner so convenience was key. Hotel was clean. Staff was great. Breakfast was good. It is far from everything so we literally dropped off our bags once we arrived and took an uber to Eiffel Tower area to enjoy our last night before heading to airport the next morning.

We were stuck in Paris due to the fires in Marseille and had to get to Cannes. Anna, one of the front desk greeters, helped us get a flight that would get us to Cannes the next day. The room wasn’t as maintained as it should be for the price. Stained and ripped carpet and the staff didn’t refill the body wash. Staff didn’t inform us that we could have free tea/coffee each day, we didn’t find out until our last day. It’s very accessible to public transit (bus, train, metro, taxi), and in turn, there’s a noticeable amount of homelessness and beggars going up to the street side restaurants to beg for money. Front desk staff was very courteous and multilingual (English, Spanish, French).
