Unacceptable Laundry Charges in an Otherwise Nice

The hotel is beautiful and offers many amenities with a relaxing atmosphere. The property is well-maintained and provides various options for leisure and comfort. However, we were quite disappointed with the level of hospitality. We asked to have our laundry done and were told there was a price list based on individual items. Unfortunately, no one informed us about the estimated total cost. To our shock, we were charged $250 USD for a single load of laundry. We questioned the amount immediately, as it didn’t seem reasonable, and after a long discussion with the staff, we were eventually given a 20% discount the next day. Still, $200 USD for one load of laundry remains extremely overpriced. We found this experience very disappointing. In a hotel of this standard, we expected better communication, transparency, and a more guest-oriented approach.

I had a great stay at the hotel! Henty (I think that's his name) was a great receptionist and very patient with me since I don't understand Spanish very well. He spoke English and helped me with my Spanish words. This was my first time in Santa Marta and I expected nothing less from a Hitlon property. They operate on excellence!

The breakfast is excellent! The exercise room is very basic and on the top floor… the AC cannot keep the room cool. Pool is small on the top floor but the ocean is just a 5 min walk. Room was excellent with beautiful ocean view.
