This was the first place we stayed on our trip and Renato was very helpful. He was a great host, providing helpful information and was very available and friendly. The included breakfast was very good. Overall the room was small but adequate for our needs. Location is about 15 minutes walk from the most popular attractions and just a couple minutes from public transportation.

Wonderful first trip to Rome
Very enjoyable stay in a quiet, good- sized room. Everything we needed, good location- close to tube and restaurants and walking distance to Colosseum. Renato was very friendly and helpful and we felt comfortable and safe throughout our stay. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful first trip to beautiful Rome!

Renato makes you feel like home...
Very nice stay. Renato is a fantastic host and makes you feel like home. THANKS!! The rooms are of a decent size and so is the bathroom. The only downside is the aircon not working the way it should, but it's not a big issue.

The owners were very hospitable. They even ordered a taxi (with our consent) to pick us up at airport, which started off a very pleasant stay in Rome. With exception of having no English TV channels (not a deal breaker) and the too bouncy bed, the room was very comfortable. Especially appreciate the placement of overhead lights. I find in a lot of European hotels/ B&Bs, lack of lights is an issue but room has good lighting everywhere, especially over mirrors both in room and bathroom. Bath towels are nice and big. Breakfast is continental. WiFi is fast. Location security is good, lots of shops and eating places around and less than 5 minutes walk to underground Metro! I highly recommend this place.

The manager was very accommodating and the breakfast was okay for continental style. It is away from the main sights but only one block to the metro stop which will get you where you want to be. About 1 mile from the coliseum this is like living in urban suburbia Rome. The B and B is on the 5th floor but there is an elevator and the building is a quiet one.

Clean and spotless B&B
Small Bed and Breakfast located on the 4th floor of an apartment building. Room was clean, as well as the private bathroom, which is extremely important for me; I always look for the condition of the bathroom every time I book. We had a big window with a balcony towards the street, even though downstairs gets busy and noisy, during the night, we didn't hear a thing. The host was nice to us and he gave us some advise about getting around the city, he even suggested some spots to try authentic italian cuisine. This B&B is located a few steps from the metro station Re di Roma, which is extremely convenient to take it and go to the main touristic spots. We took the metro towards "Ottaviano" which is the closest to Vatican City, and from there we descended all the way back to our hotel, visiting the main ruins, which are all on the way down. We were exhausted, but happy to accomplished our goal. With only 2 days in Rome,we had to take advantage of every second. Breakfast was simple, with some fruits, yogurt, bread and coffee. To be honest I was a bit dissapointed of the coffee, I was expecting a home made Italian coffee, not from a vending machine, but as we know, nothing is perfect. Overall, I recommend this B&B for the cleanness and perfect location. Thank you Renato and wife for your hospitality; and we wish you lots of success!

Pleasurable Stay
It is my pleasure to report that this B&B is the best in Rome!!! The owner Mari Pia was very accommodating and friendly. The location is only a 3 minute walk for the Rie of Roma Metro stop. The rooms are clean, shower small but good water pressure. We feel secure here as there is locked entrance to the building and another locked door to get in the B&B floor. Typical continental breakfast included, coffee, croissant, yogurt & juices. Most importantly is a good WiFi connection in the room!!! There are many small restaurant, pizzeria, coffee bar, bars, small grocery, lots of shopping around the area. A McDonalds is down the street. We are coming back to Dumos Appia for another 2 days for our trip home to USA.

good location not far from Il Colosseo
Renato and staff are friendly and helpful as you orient yourself for Roma. Good location, Metro is on the corner. Renato will give you good advice on cabs, places to visit and restaurants. Lots within a couple of blocks, groceries, gelato, and restaurants. This was a great spot to start our walking tour of Roma, just blocks from the ancient City wall and St John the Lateran. Only issue is if you are over 6 feet, there is not a lot of room in the shower but other than that, very reasonable price.

A great stay after a rough start
We stayed for a week.Renato was very accommodating. He brought us an extra chair for the room when we asked, remembered what drinks we usually had with our continental breakfast, gave us suggestions for sites to visit, booked our transfer back to the airport . The only issue we had was due to us not having a cell phone and being unable to contact someone to help us get into the building. Once we had the keys it was never a problem. Liked the closeness of the metro, park, and area eateries. lots of great gelato around.

Rome Trip
The hotel was really nice Quite central for all attractions within short distance from Metro Train station. Renato the owner was very friendly. A couple of points there was no heating in the room appart from an air co unit which dispensed cold air.Not good as the weather wasnt good and it snowed quite heavily so this was a big minus point. One other point which could be improved, there were no tea making facilities in the room, the only time to make tea was in a separate kitchen which was kept locked..and only opened by the owner for breakfast between 0800-1000hrs. Apart from this the hotel was pleasant ,clean and Renato was very welcoming and friendly. Just improve the heating in the rooms and have tea making facilities available in each room. We would stay again and apart from the two points above really enjoyed our stay

Domus Appia February 2018
Can't recommend Sinus Apoia enough! Liked the look of it and went ahead and booked and happy I did. Lovely little hotel, clean and airy and Renato the owner couldn't do enough to help us! Advice on where to go if needed and booked and printed tickets to the Vatican for us . As advertised, metro is 100 metres away and there is plenty of choice for food in the vicinity, ranging from take away pizza and sandwiches to restaurants! Highly enjoyable stay and excellent welcome and comfort!
