Fleeced by General Manager and receptionist.
I am a regular hotel guest at this 5 star hotel and usually spend, as I did on this stay, over £500. On Accommodation and food.
Approximately once or twice per month.
The Harbour Hotel Southampton is a good standard as are all their hotels however their latest General Manager is hell bent on extracting/fleecing money from any guests.
A concierge recently parked my car for me which resulted in an £80 fine which I paid!!
However, the latest surreptitious charge of £40.00 late check out charge has incensed me.
I appealed to the G.Ms intervention on this fraudulent action by a member of his team whom I told categorically not to charge my Amex.
He gave me a waffling answer basically saying, don’t book with Expedia, book directly with us and he would have actioned my complaint.
An amazing response and person to have in charge of such a prestigious hotel.
Check your invoiced charges very carefully.
