I booked the spa suite to relax after a very busy week at work. I called reception during the day to let them know that I would be arriving later in the evening and if it would be after 7:30pm that I would contact them to leave a key. I received another call and voicemail later that afternoon confirming my booking. When I called back I was given all of the check in details and code over the phone. This was difficult as I was very busy at the time and had to stop what I was doing to make a note in my phone so I wouldn't forget. Then on arrival, more instructions, you need a key to turn the spa on. Then I went to my room. Walking in, it stunk. The window had been left open and someone must have been smoking outside so the whole room smelt terrible. Mixed in with the cigarette was the smell of a really awful reed diffuser which I ended up moving into the bathroom because it was so overwhelmingly strong. The spa itself was lovely and very roomy. Although I didn't figure out how to turn the water off until the end of my spa. Something is wrong with the tap and if you turn it off the whole way, it keeps pouring out water. The bed is comfy and furnishings adequate. When I was just about to go to sleep, the AC dumped out a large stream of water on to the floor, causing me to jump out of bed and find something to collect the water that continued to come out. All in all it wasn't the relaxing stay I had hoped for. The property needs maintenance or reduced rates.
