Reviews

6/10 Good

It was better than expected from other reviews. I had to clean the bathroom when we arrived. The sheets and room seemed clean enough.
Kari, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room was big and comfortable. The location hasa huge advantage that its close to the park, but its disadvantage is limited food options close by. Price was reasonable. The showerhead in the bathroom kept leaking, thats my only minor gripe with the stay. Otherwise, a very nice place to stay for a trip to Sequoia NP.

Met our needs

Our room was dirty and dusty but the bed was clean and comfortable. The coffee maker, microwave and remote did not work. I had to clean when we checked in. But the staff at the desk rectified everything else right away. The location was great, close to Sequoia with food options close by. Very pretty spot.

We were glad to stay at The River Inn as it was just at the foothills of the Sequoia National Park. There was Totem Marketplace next to the inn and it was awesome. The staff was amazing, their food was delicious and had a huge collection of souvenirs. The highlight of our stay was sighting a black bear cub on the property.
Harpreet, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel stay was fine, older hotel but good for the price and proximity to the park.
Maria, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

We stayed here after a day in Sequoia NP. The motel was convenient and a short drive to the entrance of the park. Unfortunately it was extremely hot during our stay, but the AC unit inside did its job and kept us cool enough. Would stay again
Mitchell, 1-night trip

Clean and basic.

This place was fine. Very basic. I had a giant suite I guess you’d call it. It was located behind the main office. Had a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. It was clean and comfortable for my needs.

8/10 Very good

Clean, pleasant and amazing location.

The staff were so nice and helpful with local recommendations. The room was old but super clean and everything worked fine. Cant beat the location or the cafe/market next door.
Katrina, 1-night trip

Comfortable stay

Was conveniently located to Sequoia National Park. Housekeeping could have been a little better, but overall was acceptable. The staff was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place. It was very relaxing and had plenty of places to eat nearby.

Outdated

Convenient location! This was the only place left last minute! It was fine for one night. The room was pretty musty and the whole inn is pretty outdated. No amenities. Our room was full of ants. Felt like the price was pretty high for what we got but I suppose that's location for ya!

Dirty, not safe place to stay . Staff is not friendly. Surrounding area is not safe. Will never go back .

8/10 Very good

The location was great. The property definitely needs some update. But for the price it was okay didn't see much of the staff.Everything closed up pretty early, so had to drive to Eat Places. But as far as location for the sequoia park perfect
Richard, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Looked like a such place on line, but actually rather rundown. AC did work well, i had to leave the door open all night it was so hot! Convenient cafe and market next door was good though.
GEORGE, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Nice, cheap place right next to entrance to Sequoia NP. Nice place to rest after a long day of hiking!
Jason, 2-night trip

Very close proximity to park. Great restaurant close by
Colleen, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The gateway to the sequoia. Highly recommend The River inn. The staff are just amazing and super helpful. The room (cabin) was very comfortable. We actually booked a room and wanted to use the grill but it was not available so the put us in the cabin at no additional charge, i was able to cook right in the kitchen. We will be back as this is a great little place
John, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Hotel could use some TLC but it met the basic needs. Restaurant & shop next door was a nice bonus. Breakfast burritos were yummy!
Pam, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

This is a older property at the entrance to Sequoia. Clean but worn. Good for a night or two with close access to the park. Staff was very helpful when we arrived later then expected.
