Rooms are HUGE, very clean, and rates are the best in the area. We always stay here when we’re in the Sierras.

8/10 Good

I needed a room for the night before backpacking the next day. The room was clean and had all of the basic amenities. Nothing fancy, but excellent for the price. I would definitely stay there again. There was nothing that I disliked about the room.

10/10 Excellent

Room was perfect with a little kitchen. I love that they don’t charge extra for pets. It’s convenient to have the little store right there for all your needs.
Tamara, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Extremely convenient - probably best location for hikers. Chevron store (also the hotel check in desk) has all the gear and food you need. They even have some exotic options. Location is not very quiet but safe, AC works. 40 mins away from all the major trails
Anna, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Front desk (gas station) was a little rushed and curt, check in and check out was a little odd. Overall decent room, and value. Would stay again in a pinch.

Checking in at the Chevron Gas Station was very odd. Your office door was locked with a sign directing us to th gas station.

Get what you expect.

Room was clean and had the expected amenities. Check in was quick (in the gas station market) and check out online was fast.

It's an average old motel in a small town. Completely adequate. What does one expect?

Great Service

Great service at checking and checkout. Room was clean and location was perfect for our family trip.
Herminia, 1-night trip

The Owner Ran Them All

The owner ran a couple of businesses - a gas station, a grocery store, a hardware store, a motel, a food truck, and a laundromat with showers. Therefore, we checked in at the grocery store. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable for a good night sleep. We asked for a quiet room and got one behind the store building. It did shield out lots of highway noise. We took a walk after dinner in the nice neighborhood.
1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Super fast check in. They just asked my name and handed me my key. Less than 30 seconds. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Checkin is at the general store in front of the rooms so you can get groceries and snacks as well as fuel all within feet of your room. Also prices room prices are very affordable compared to other locations in Bishop or Independence. I highly recommend
