Can not fault anything about Jamala, the zoo itself is exceptional with the cleanliness, the atmosphere and most importantly the animals are cared for with love & respect. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. From the minute we walked in until we left the next day. The people were incredible. Very attentive, kind and accomodating. The food was beyond fabulous. We had an amazing dinner with multiple courses and all were superb! Our giraffe feeding treehouse was impeccably furnished and very clean. The giraffe feeding experience as well as the guided tour were fun and informative. If you get a chance, go to this place it will not disappoint!

A truly one-of-a-kind experience. We were celebrating a milestone birthday, and it really felt like the whole team went out of their way to make our stay memorable, even though I’ve learned this is just Jamala’s standard for service! We loved every aspect of our stay, from our brilliant guided tour with Cooper, our exceptional accommodation in the giraffe tree house and very special encounter with Sky and Khamisi, the incredible afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast we enjoyed and our chance to experience the Zoo before everyone arrived in the morning. This was a bucket list experience, but I’m pretty sure we’ll be back! Best of all, Jamala and the Zoo’s commitment to conservation means staying here makes a real difference for the world’s most endangered animals.

Well worth it! Jamala has been on my bucket list for many years and I’m so glad we finally did it! We stayed in the giraffe treehouse for a romantic couples bday getaway, it was incredible! Staff are super lovely, helpful and accommodating. I thought it would be a once in a lifetime experience however, I’m pretty sure we will be back with the kids for their next birthdays. We walked in to the reception and our bags were checked in, we were ushered into the lodge and had afternoon tea. The service started at the front door and never ended. We then went for a guided zoo tour. Dinner was just amazing, with a great wine list. Fed about three animals! Just an amazing experience!

Amazing experience for your bucket list
This stay was the highlight of my trip. The cost of the room was worth every cent. From the moment you were checked in, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel stay includes extras like, afternoon high tea and drinks on arrival. Small group tour of the zoo, and extra access areas. We stayed in the giraffe treehouse, which was lovely and we got to feed the giraffes from the balcony. Pre dinner drinks and a lovely three course meal with drinks. My other favourite was wondering the zoo early morning before it opens. Hearing the lions wake up. Wow. Breakfast included before check out and free zoo time if you choose.
