10/10 Excellent

Wonderful place to stay - very welcoming and helpful staff. Clean quiet rooms and sumptuous lobby. The wraparound porch brought people together and made for a conviviality rare in contemporary hotels of any grade. Take advantage to the plaza dedicated to Sacagawea across the street, and the Missouri headwaters state park a couple of miles away.

Older property but with lots of character complete with large veranda. Reminded me of a large plantation property of the past. Friendly staff and even offered us champagne and towel at check in! 30 minutes outside of Bozeman, but a better all round deal.

10/10 Excellent

We booked the night before so are pleased with our room. Beautiful grounds so we sat on the front porch, had a drink on the deck off the bar so who needs a sitting room. Our dinner was delicious. We will be making the bread dips as Winston as we figure out the recipes. My beet salad is better but theirs is excellent. We had the best, bar none, waitstaff. Loved the live music on the porch. We will be back

From the moment we walked in the door everything was about welcome hospitality…glass of champagne, cool lavender cloth for our face, help with our luggage and it just got better, if that were possible. Live music on the porch after fine dining in the pub!! Our 2nd stay and we look forward to our third!! 5 stars!!!

Beautiful hotel. They have done such a good job paying attention to all the details from the hint of lavender when you enter your room to homemade banana bread at breakfast. Their coffee is fantastic! You can browse the lobby for hours and admire how they’ve displayed our American history. The people that run this hotel care.

We loved exploring this historic hotel. There are lots of great photos and the staff is very knowledgeable and happy to share the history. The restaurant wasn't open during our stay, but we enjoyed the convenience of the pub downstairs. The food was very good!
