Great location
We loved this room and the location, but checkin was an issue. I found the address, but could not figure out how to get in the building. Someone finally came out of the door and iv was able to go in. The reception lady was super nice, but the room was down the block and around the corner. There is no reception area if you need something or have s question. Other than that, this was a great place. The room was spavious with plenty of room. It felt very safe. We had a key to open a door onto the street, another key to get into the building, then a code to get into a hallway, and one more code to get in the room. Very close to the metro, restaurants, lots if little shops. We walked to the vatican museum.

Room at Star Vatican
The room was updated and bathroom was large and clean. The building was old, lobby area was run down and dirty which made it undesirable. It is hard to tell what you’ll get in Rome since hotels operate in residential buildings. We only stayed one night so it was fine but I would not return. Location is close to Vatican and other areas and convenient to bus and Metro.

The girl checking us in was not very friendly… and we booked 2 rooms thinking they would be together and we were at different locations.

The room was only a bathroom/shower, and bed with a small table. Air conditioning didn’t work very well. Although one side of the bed tilted outward, it was ok. The water out of the shower head was not spread out. Seemed like an open hose.

Poor cleanliness. Tile grout covered in mildew. Housekeeping included a set of clean towels and sloppy bed making. Nothing else. Front desk 12pm-8pm only. Lobby undergoing repair. Street blocked at multiple points due to construction. Minimal toiletries included shower soap, bar soap, 2 shower caps for a 5 night stay. Rooms and bathrooms need a deep clean and scrub.

Seemed dodgy but ended up being amazing. Walking distance to every attraction Rome has in a very nice and safe area of the city. The building is very old but well kept with charm and the rooms are large and very clean. It's a little difficult to gain entry initially on first visit but if can get past that highly recommend

Comfortable beds, nice shower , great location, easy check in and out. Can't keep any lagage after check out. Cab be a little bit noisy when people walk in the street as the window is parallel to the street. But we did sleep well and the window can be closed if the noise is a problem.
