The staff were amazing. The kind person who checked me in, sorted my WiFi issues and lent me a phone charger was wonderful and I was so appreciative of his support. Excellent value for money and the location is super. Would stay again and recommend.

The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, which is positive, but no effort was made to minimise the impact of that on other guests, and there was no acknowledgement from staff that building materials lying in corridors might be unusual. Our room was unrefurbished, meaning it was tired, and non-working lights exposes a general lack of care. Email communication is strange, with many and repeated messages about the check-in process, including AFTER the stay

Ha, that photo is so far from the reality. My room was so dirty. I don't think anyone has wiped dust in 10 year. All radiators, shaower etc where caked in rust, no point putting your towel to warmup or dry there. Just grim. The advertised safe in the room didn't work, it was locked. I was later told they don't have the key to them. So don't expect to leave any valuables there. It was meant to have a receptionist, didn't see one until I left in the morning. So if you are lone femal traveller looking for a manned hotel, don't go here. I called the number twice given as contact and left a voicemail as nobody answered. NObody ever called me back. Absolutely shocking place.

Super wonderful staff who were friendly and amiable. A small issue with a non-working code was sorted swiftly and in a very professional manner.
If you have a dodgy back or sort joints the mattresses might not do you any favours but the room was perfect for a family of 4 about to go on holiday

check in no problem. check out no staff there, had to leave a note. Room 29 had dirty window frames. Towel rail and toilet roll holder very rusty, wash basin also. No spoon for tea/coffee. Tea coffee holder was dirty. Towel was thread bare with bits coming off it.

Expedia forgot to mention that this building doesn’t have a lift. We received a room at the 3rd floor taking very steep and narrow stairs. No chance to escape a fire,God forbid! The room is very small, the heating didn’t work so we had to use the hairdryer to heat the room and it smell terrible of chlorine.
If you have a certain age or reduce mobility do not book this hotel

Close to Kings Cross. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was small but very clean. It was great for one night but would not be great for a long stay as there was very little storage for clothes- no hangers , plus the mirrors were too high to look into so it was impossible for shaving, makeup, hair etc.
