I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The pictures online do not accurately represent the property at all. While the staff were friendly and sweet, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anyone visiting New York for the first time, especially as a family. The area is predominantly Chinese, and unfortunately, it doesn’t feel very safe for newcomers to the city. It definitely didn’t match the vibe shown in the photos. The bathrooms were old and in need of serious updates. There was also no place to properly store luggage, which made the room feel even more cramped. To make matters worse, there was no sense of security after we left for the day, we came back to find a card on our door with a number listed to call if we suspect any sex trafficking going on. This left us feeling incredibly uneasy about our safety and the safety of others.
Inside the room, the walls were so thin that I could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms, which made it difficult to relax or sleep. The breakfast options were minimal and unappealing—just boiled eggs, croissants, and cereal. The gym was incredibly tiny and not what I had expected based on the description. The rooms felt cramped, and the noise from the adjacent rooms was concerning, especially since the guests next door were intoxicated and constantly bringing in more people.
Overall, I would suggest looking elsewhere if you're planning to stay in New York.
