Great place to stay!

Room is clean. Location is good for visiting the park.

Great location. The burger and toasted cheese sandwiches that we ate in the snack bar were as good as any others we had in California. Price is high for the room but that is to be expected when staying in a NP and being surrounded by all the natural beauty. All the staff we met were very nice and helpful. Our room was clean and suited our needs.

Very remote older spartan property by the National parks service. White knuckle drive descending mountains with spectacular views. Had to pause drive as workers were dealing with forest fire. Room would have been nice in the 1920s. No TV Has a small food market and dining choices are at a snack bar. Great for outdoors people and those who would like to get away from it all. I they do have WiFi. Bad choice by me.

Takes longer to get there than we planned based on milage. It is in a valley with a long mountain drive in. Don’t get me wrong… it’s beautiful but you need to allow extra time

Loved the location and accessibility to hiking. Staff was great and the room basic but all we needed

6/10 Good

The lodge is right next to a beautiful river. The staff was pleasant and courteous. The bed was comfortable. The food was pretty good at the sandwich shop. Those are the positives. Check-in is exactly at 4 pm. The desk is in the market area and is not staffed continuously. The lodge was built in the 70s and not updated since. Actual keys to get into the rooms. No TV in the rooms. No water pressure in the showers. Toilets don’t flush well. Bring alternative entertainment. There is WiFi tho. It just needs some serious updating!

Great place!
The location is amazing and I would highly recommend staying at this lodge. The lodge is rustic but perfect for the location. Love the lounge chairs by the rushing creek.

What a setting
This hotel is a drive, but so worth it. It is not the most modern, but stunning in its views along the river. Having a complimentary breakfast was a great start to the day. Dinner at the snack bar was really good. We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Nice, comfortable, uncomplicated. We arrived really late st night and the reception was long closed but the key and all needed information were ready for us.

Awesome place to spend the night in the park at the end of kings canyon drive. If you like fishing make sure you got a rod and licence... I wish i knew first !

It would have been nice to know it's at the bottom of the canyon. It takes 45 minutes to drive out to explore or see anything out of the canyon. 2 nights max for a stay unless you are hiking in bottom of canyon.

Location and scenery are incredible
Location and scenery are incredible! Creek runs right by it. Pine tree smell is a treat. In between a camping and hotel experience, leaning more towards hotel. Friendly staff but not your typical hospitality industry workers. Old school room keys. Smaller showers. Overall, really great!

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Cedar Grove Lodge. When staying here, keep in mind that you are staying in a National Park. The room has NO amenities. Zero. Not even a TV or reliable Wifi. You are paying for the convenience of being in the park and the absolutely beautiful surroundings. They do offer continental breakfast and there is a market on site that is open from 7am until 9 pm to buy snacks, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful.
