For the end of the road day it was a nice secluded place to spend the night.

Perfect location in the nature next to a river. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Picturesque scenery

Best possible location. The Check-in staff were wonderful. The hotel is older and could use some remodeling. Food options are very limited and the grill staff are not the most polite or engaging. The views and the drive to get here outweigh the negatives.
Philip, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great value for a low price, and super nicely located in the middle of Kings Canyon.
Tine Christiane, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Great location but you pay for the convenience.

My husband and I were out “glamping”. The accommodations were really nice for our needs. Comfy and clean. The lounge chairs near the river were relaxing and charming.

Comfy and perfectly located NPS lodge

Yes, it’s dated, but the location could not be beat and the comfortable bed was most welcome at the end of a long day. There was unexpectedly both WiFi and AC (which was particularly welcome on a very hot day), and the market opened at 7, allowing my very well-rested self to grab a quick breakfast before checking out and hitting the trail early that morning. Would 100% stay here again.
Kristina, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Noisy. I can hear the voices from neighbors clearly, and they could hear me as well

I really loved my stay at this lodge. The rooms were nice enough but not fancy but the location was great. We did see a bear from the lodge which the rangers drove off. It had a great view next to the river.
Ben, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It was as a great place for an overnight. Lovely places to relax and enjoy the river without camping. It’s an isolated location, be flexible.
Maria, 1-night trip

Nice Lodge in Kings Canyon

A small but nice lodge in Kings Canyon. Room was a decent size for our family of 4 although we didn't spend much time in it as we were either in the park or sat outside in the nice outdoor area. We paddled in the river and sat stargazing in the evenings. A good base for Kings Canyon & Sequoia NP. Staff were friendly. The shop was well stocked for snacks & drinks, plus we used the restaurant onsite too which was nice. Could have done with a Cedar Lodge signpost on the Cedar Village sign for on the way in.
Katie, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was right in the heart of Kings Canyon National Park
Michelle, 1-night trip

This is a National Park Lodge. It is very basic but the location is perfect if you wish to enjoy the park and get an early start on some hiking. The room was basic but nice and clean, staff was friendly and food was decent.

One trash bin, ran out out tissue/low supply; good bagels for breakfast, really good coffee!
Carol, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Overall this worked out well for us but based upon the price the facilities and the rooms are very outdated. Location was great and they had a store and grill for food.
derek, 1-night trip

We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Grove. The river just outside the lodge was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms could use updating but the staff and the view were excellent. We would stay here again if we were in the area.
