My stay was lovely. The Moelwyn was quiet and clean, right on the seafront and perfect for my short break.

Excellent location, great friendly hosts and we had no issues whatsoever during the stay. Will definitely look to stay here again if we venture down that way again! Thank you.

We booked B&B only to find the restaurant had not functioned since end of 2023! No breakfast or any other food has been served for 18 months! The hotel is advertised as 'Moelwyn Hotel & Restaurant'. The board outside calls it 'The Moelwyn Restaurant with Rooms' with additional B&B board! This is misrepresentation! The owner is permanently unavailable!

The hotel was advertised as B&B, this is what I booked, no breakfast was available, nor was there the said restaurant as advertised, host pointed us to menus available in the room.

Jo Stephen are warm and welcoming, very friendly and attentive. The hotel is perfect for us, warm clean and cosy, a wonderful location, with the most magnificent views of the bay. The sunrise from bed this morning was incredible 💖 many thanks to Jo Stephen for looking after us during our stay, lots of tips on local knowledge. Carparking very convenient too. Lovely stay

Booked for a birthday night away, but left feeling deflated and underwhelmed on arrival. The service was very casual and unprofessional. Felt that they weren't ready with information about the booking and left confused about which room we were due.
Room was dark a dirty with hair over the carpet and in the hallways. Just felt really underwhelming and very tired.
We barley stayed, before we decided to look for other arrangements. My husband struggled to voice his comments to the owner as we left to even attempt any money back at the time as we just wanted to go. Such a fantastic location and the service and quality let it down.

We e were staying for a night before travelling on to another destination. The lady who welcomed us, was very helpul with places to eat and drink, and whats in the area. She was very friendly and couldn't fault the service. There is no food or bar on the premises, but she was able to recommend places. We ate at Dylans and drank in the local pub and enjoyed some Welsh hospitality throughout our stay. There were some lovely walks in the area, and we were blessed with good weather. The parking was free if you aren't on the sea front, and there are plenty of parking spaces even at the weekend. The room was clean and we had a great time visiting this little place with a big heart yet again after over 10 years. Also lots of chances to practice our Welsh language skills

The booking included breakfast but on arrival we were told no breakfast, the room was very dusty and a towel had blood stains on it. The staff were lovely but it was not as well kept as it looks in the photos and the restaurant is not running at all.

We were overcharged for the room, breakfast was supposed to be included but wasn’t as hotel up for sale and restaurant closed. One of the bath towels had a stain. Expedia tried to contact the owner for a refund but was unsuccessful. To Expedia’s credit they are going to give us a small amount in compensation.
