Raven hall

A great place to stay if you're walking or cycling in the area and need a base. I was satisfied with the accommodation for the price and included breakfast. Room we got was at the back, very dated, a bit noisy from the boiler units outside and furniture was uncomfortable. Breakfast was OK.

Wonderful!!!!!

I LOVED this hotel. I’m a world touring cyclist and I love quiet and remote. This hotel was FANTASTIC. Idyllic setting high above the bay. Beautiful grounds. Lovely gardens. Stunning. The hotel just had a makeover and it looks beautiful! My room overlooked the sea—clean and comfortable and a great bathtub! Breakfast was plentiful and high quality. A dreamy stop as I pedal the UK. Many, many thanks!

Because of the fab views of Robin Hoods bay. I took a punt and booked into this old hotel. From walking through the door I was blown away by how the communal areas have been modernised. Even though the staff were obviously busy, I suggest they quickly learn to be a little friendlier/ warm to guests (they weren't bad, just not engaging).

Hotel with great history.

This hotel has so much amazing history. Really find it hard to believe that the current owners need to rename it ! And such an inappropriate name too. The bedroom are very tired. The bedrooms need a massive overhaul and bringing tastefully uptodate. The garden nearest the hotel are ok but the gardens and paths down to the 'castle' like area need attention as they could be beautiful. This hotel has the potential to be amazing just hope owners make the best of it. The staff were all very pleasant. Service was good. Drinks were expensive. Breakfast was very good.

Hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking the bay with plenty of local walks, dog friendly and staff very friendly. We had evening meal and breakfast both very nice, hotel is going through refurbishment and the plans look amazing

Beautiful place

A lot of building work going on so somewhat noisy and dusty and beautiful panorama restaurant out of use these are the bad points but the good points are the staff especially Ben our server has n the restaurant who was excellent as was the food we love this place and the views are amazing we will certainly be back yet again to see how it is when the renovations are complete
Christine, 3-night trip

Average stay

Stayed years ago and sadly not the place it used to be. Room was clean albeit it needed a bit of attention to detail, evening meal was quite expensive for what we had, seem to be the guy behind the bar was doing most of the serving and the breakfast was buffet style and was pretty basic. Got woken up by some noise from a joiner fixing a door before 7am. On check out at 9am we hoped to have a walk around the grounds only to be told we couldn’t as there was a wedding on later! I think this hotel is gearing up to be a wedding venue but it really needs to improve on various aspects to guests staying at the hotel. Sadly won’t be returning.

Absolutely stunning hotel in beautiful grounds with the most amazing views. My dog had a lovely time walking around the gardens . The breakfast was great and the evening meal was delicious. The staff were really friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Hardly noticed the current building works and would reccommend to anyone.
Karen, 1-night trip

Lovely staff who moved me to another room without fuss when my room smelt of new paint. Fabulous location and superb views from the restaurant and gardens. Generous coked breakfast and great staff here too. Some parts of the hotel were shut off due to refurbishment but this didn't affect my stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Raven Hall immensely. The hotel in Ravenscar has an absolutely amazing position overlooking the bay, cliffs and beyond. We had a lovely warm room with sea view which was very comfortable and roomy. All staff very friendly and helpful, plus the buffet breakfast is brilliant. We have been a few times now and will definitely return.

Lovely comfortable room upgrade. Hotel in middle of major renovations but staff managed it extremely well. Love this place. It’s reminiscent of manderley!

Absolutely stunning location! Amazing views ! The surrounding and the property makes the dump and cold weather looks and feel beautiful! Staff is very polite and helpful. Needs a bit of updating and love, which I hope what the building work is at the moment is. We can’t wait to visit it again
Elena, 1-night trip

The hotel has changed massively since we last went before you ate in the dining room overlooking the bay restaurant has been moved now you see car park don't get me wrong it was very nice but I preferred the old set up it also has no pool now

Spring getaway

Only faults of the room are stained carpet, cracked windowsil & poor water pressure and heat in bathroom. Corridors in need of renovation and quite a few public rooms inaccessible due to work being done (it will be lovely when its done) The lodges look exciting, would love to stay in one. Evening meal and breakfast very nice
