Nice place to stay if going to the park. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. Pool water was clear and warm. Have stayed there twice and will be going back again in a couple weeks. It is a dated hotel but clean and perfect for what we need.

The exterior of the facility was poor-overgrown grass, cracked concrete in the parking lot. But the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The pool was also in working order. This motel has great potential.

My boyfriend and I decided to go on an impromptu trip to Cedar Point, and wanted a cheap place to stay. Avalon Inn is really good for the price and was just what we needed. It's only a couple miles from the park, which is really nice as well. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a cheap place to stay while visiting Cedar Point.

Sketchy Dated but nice staff

This hotel is dated and would have been amazing in the 80s. The desk staff was friendly but the place has a rundown grimy feel. The pool was dirty but could have been fine with a good skimmer and run the filter. The sketchy part was some of the people staying here.

Very good budget hotel

If you go in with high expectations, this is not the hotel for you. We were perfectly content with it however. Our towel rack was broken and one of our sink drains was stuck in the down position, but we had 2 sinks so we used the other one, no big deal. It smelled clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower had good pressure and hot water. This is all we need when booking a room. The best part is that it was nearly half the price of all the franchise hotels in the area. Iโ€™d recommend this place to everyone.

The staff were very kind. The room had what it needed and was clean and kempt. It was old and had a smell like ammonia/cat pee which I think speaks to its age. That made it a bit hard to breathe in the room, otherwise it worked as a good cheap place to sleep in and go.
