I stayed here only one night before I left, for a better hotel experience. I would rate this hotel a 3 star. One big issue was the food. Even though my stay included meals, I was not impressed. Food served buffet style, always in the same restaurant, looked like college dorm food (gloppy). A high percentage of children, often unmanaged. Hotel is in need of severe renovation, in my opinion.

Staff was amazing especially the boys in the Sky Lounge, never left our drinks empty and very funny and kind. Good selection of drinks and food. Amazing stay and good for couples and families! Stayed here for my birthday with a couple of my friends and we loved it! Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful, room was clean and well air conditioned, pools, bars, and restaurants were great too. It wasn't the most upscale resort on the beach, but it was affordable, family friendly, had lots of activities and was perfect for us! This was my first time visiting Mexico so I was going in a little blind(and not sure if I was going to get scammed lol), so for anyone else who's not sure, I would definitely recommend Plaza Pelicanos, we loved it!!
