Welcome Hotel is in a wonderful location, right on the water with incredible views. Terrific restaurants are just a few steps away as is shopping. Easy rideshare or taxi access to the area. Front desk staff was fantastic as were the other staff. We had a problem with the shower drain and they were immediately on it and solved it. Rooms can be a little funky, but that's part of the boutique charm. Our room was spacious (by European standards) and the balcony overlooking the Mediterranean was spectacular, especially at moonrise. I would highly recommend Welcome Hotel. 5 stars without doubt.

A perfect spot to stay in Ville Franche Sur Mer! The ideal spot for a little shopping, going to the beach and watching all of the boats and yachts in the bay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and we loved our suite with balcony overlooking the water. 5 minutes walk from the train station. The only hotel on the water in this beautiful little town!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this property. Location, location, location! But also, the service was A from the check-in team, to the baggage handlers to the restaurant staff. I maintain that the breakfast was the BEST French breakfast I have ever had! We will be back!

Welcome Hotel is the best-kept secret of the French Riviera. It lies in the corner of a little resort-like area at one of Villefranche-sur-mer. Tons of places to eat, train stop nearby, super quiet rooms, amazing breakfast buffet, extra comfy beds, incredible views of the harbor, air conditioning, and incredible staff. What a dream. Can't wait to return to this romantic getaway someday...

As a solo traveller this was the best experience. It is a little pricy but worth it for 2 nights of luxury. The views over the bay are incredible and shops and restraints very close. Only 7 min walk to the beach and train to Monaco. If you want a tranquil holiday this is it, thankfully no nightclubs or bars open til late. I had the best sleeps here! I'm definitely coming back!

The location could not be more perfect— right in the heart of villefranche with close proximity to restaurants and the beach. The view from our hotel room was also fabulous. However, the room was very small with only enough room to really walk around the bed. The furnishings were also outdated and could use updating. Some staff members were helpful, though the front desk was generally not helpful.

We loved our stay at Welcome Hotel. The location is perfect and so quant. Lots of great dining options around and the atmosphere is so quant. The room itself was a little small, but it was very well done. Our room had recently been remodeled, but I am not sure the bathroom had been. The shower/tub was quite small, but as is the case with most old, European hotels. We loved it here and would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you are staying in Villefranche, this is worth it!

Loved everything about the property with the exception of 2 things. 1. They charge for beach towels. its not expensive, just a principal thing. you are a hotel on a beach... 2. Our room was ok, a bit loud as it was on the first floor near the elevator. other than that..the hotel was great. clean, hotel staff was friendly and helpful etc. definitely would recommend.

This hotel is beautifully located steps from the pier in Villefranche. The views are incredible, and the staff is extremely friendly. We would not hesitate to come back again. We had an amusing experience with one of the night staff, which illustrates the French culture a bit: before going out to dinner, we asked when the bar would close at. We were told 10pm. Upon returning at 9:45pm looking forward for a nightcap, we found the bar closed. When pointing out to the person at the desk that they said 10pm, the man looked puzzled, and replied: that's right, its quarter to 10, what do you expect ? LOL ! We opted to laugh. This is no way took away from the great stay we had there.

We spent 2 nites here. The Welcome hotel is a perfectly nice place in beautiful Villifranche. My expectations for the hotel were built up very high from things I had read so that when I arrived it was somewhat disappointing. There is really nothing special (good or bad) about it EXCEPT the location which is situated right on the harbor with spectacular views of the water. The rooms are a 3-4 star quality with a shower/bath combo that makes it very difficult to stand while taking a shower. One real negative is the parking. They send you across the street and down the block to a public parking lot. That's OK except when it gets busy (every evening beginning around 5pm) and the lot fills up. Then you have to wait until someone leaves before they let you in. I had to wait for 20-25 minutes when I got there for check in. The next nite we were out past midnight and we had the lot all to ourselves! Frustrating
