Fantastic reception desk and host. Very helpful with local knowledge about where to eat, what to do around Nelson. They even helped us book boat / walking tour to the Abel Tasman National Park. Chelsea Park Motor lodge is a great base for exploring Nelson and surrounding area. Approximate 10 minute walk from main shopping street and some of the town's parks. The room was spacious and comfortable with a small kitchen area including fridge. The hosts were friendly and helpful offering advise on places to visit/ eat. Also, they went above and beyond when I accidentally stood at the wrong location for the morning bus shuttle to Abel Tasman park and missed the pick up. I had stayed 2 nights but wish I had allowed a longer stay in my itinerary.
