A great stay
Lovely hotel with a great restaurant. It’s a little way out of town but you can get an auto rickshaw (just to the left of the entrance). It cost us 300 R/s to get into the centre of town to visit the temple, also to get to the airport. The hotel is used by many tour groups which can be a downside but we felt all the staff worked hard to ensure the needs of other guests weren’t overlooked.

In restaurant plates were not refilled and people have to wait fir more than 10.mins to get plates. Sad was no one was taking effort to get inspite of telling them. Also the cut fruits plate was empty and no refilling happened for more than 15 mins

Good hotel apart from Mosquitoes
The hotel was new, looks and feel like a 5 star hotel however, there are quite a few mosquitoes in the room and dinning area where the whole family was bitten. The hotel needs to sort this out ASAP.

I’m glad I found this hotel in Madurai. It’s new, clean and convenient to and from the airport. The restaurant is decent although the spread is small. Awesome gym. Would be nice if there was a sauna. Huge room. Overall well priced between size, facilities, location and convenience.

Superb new five star just outside city. Recommend!
Really superb shiny new five star hotel just outside city. Bed so comfortable and all linen and fittings brand new. Great sleep. Very quiet. Superb breakfast both days. Highly recommend breakfast buffet. Nice lounge for Executive room booking but as of now no alcohol licence yet, so bar also closed. No bars nearby. Only downside is location, around 8kms from temple. Some confusion with hotels.com listing as it claims ‘walking distance to temple’. Even though that’s the reason I booked it, for temple visits, the luxury and breakfast more than compensated for the distant location. They seem to be confusing this GRT hotel with older GRT hotel near temple. Highly recommend this hotel. Great sustainability initiatives throughout also. And amazing quality of product for the price. Would pay four or five times this price for comparable hotel in Europe.

A beautiful hotel, where high standards of cleanliness and facilities meets eastern hospitality. The staff are lovely and the gym/yoga trainer was very knowledgeable. The hotel restaurants offered a wide variety of eastern and western food. The hotel was the highlight of our trip and was unmatched by others on our journey, and therefore a hotel worthy of recommendation.
