We really enjoy the old house experience. The house has been updated yet the original beauty well preserved. We enjoyed the hominess of having the house cat staying outside our room!

The home was so unique and wonderfully decorated. The host was so friendly and had loads of history about the house and the area. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous.

Like: Quiet neighborhood, walkable to places to eat, shop and riverboat cruise & trolley, breakfast optional.
Slight inconveniences: Bathroom i unattached to room, shower stall small, distant train whistles as they passed between river and B & B 5 blocks away.

Beautiful historical home. Our trip was cut short due to a family emergency so we did not get to enjoy the breakfast. Very responsive & easy to work with host.

Seemed like property needed more staff. Gardens were weedy. Loose railing by front stairs. Cat debris on front porch. Host was very nice but there were "loose ends".

Cats inside
The breakfast was very good. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The owner has inside cats which moaned in the night. He warned us but I didn't understand at the time. I was fortunate I didn't have asthma because I'm allergic to cats. The outside was unkept but the inside room was very clean.

A Bit of a Disappointment
The TV did not work. If it had, it was out of date and very small.
Bathroom down the hall--not easily accessible.
Breakfast was minimal--no choice.

Great old house, they have cats. But the cats are very friendly and love to great the guests. (No cat box smell in house) House is clean, it's an old house, so it does have its squeeks. Nice history is told to guests about the house & the original owners. Chris was a professional chef, so breakfast is guaranteed to be delicious. Would stay there again.
