No heat not clean
The cabin was not clean. We wanted to light a fire, but the fireplace was full of soot. All the furniture was run down and handles missing from drawers. There was dust on the tv ad the ceiling fans and mold in the bathroom. The bathroom tub did not drain. The wifi was horrible and kept going out. The heater did not work in the unit. It was 29 degrees that night. The dinky space heaters dod nothing, could not feel the heat. Cabin #2. The unit next to was was attached and they were partying and drinking until 2am. I would not recommend this property again. It needs a re-model and cabin #2 needs attention to detail with cleaning.

Well. First of all, I stayed here for 3 nights during the week. The week I was there happened to be the same time there was a level two evacuation warning for the area the cabins were in. They neglected to tell me anything about this or say anything about the helicopters flying back and forth through the night. A little intimidating. However, how could they say anything when they were nowhere to be found. Ever. Only upon check in or check out did anyone appear, should I have needed anything at all I would have been hard pressed to get help. Ants. There is a SERIOUS ant issue in the cabin. I found one of the entry points at the 1inch gap between the floor and the baseboard. Where the floor has obviously had some serious water damage since the entire floor in this area says and is a little sketchy to walk on. The ants were relentless even without any real reason to come in. The kitchen lacks simple things like hand or dish towels, a clean sponge or dish soap, a cutting board as well. There was a VERY well used old spong on the sink and a soap dispenser full of hand soap though. No thanks. Just be prepared to wash your dishes with these things if you don't buy your own because there is even a letter to the guests telling you to wash your dishes and take all the trash out to their "dumpster". Where there was trash scattered all around the back of the property all the way across the street and into the lot adjacent. If you've never lived where there are bears then you

First I was texted earlier in the day of my checkin to say my room was available early and what time would I be expected. A nice touch incase you are running late. I was alittle lost finding the driveway to the property, so I called the property and the gentleman at the front desk waited outside to flag me in. I finally get to meet Serene, the front desk manager and he was very enthusiastic and greeted me with a very sincere warmth,and we had a nice conversation about the area. He was very informative and suggested several local dining places very close to the property, I actually walked to one of his suggestions. The small house that I rented was very clean and the beds comfortable. I will definately stay at the Fox n Bear again! Thank you Serene for making my stay in Big Bear a very rewarding experience!

We booked a one night stay last minute and upon checking in Jamie the manager greeted us on arrival and was very friendly. The outside appearance was cute and there was assigned parking per cottage that was very convenient. The rooms were toasty and there was enough space for the four of us. At first glance it seemed like a cute affordable place to stay but upon further inspection we noticed that the floors were not swept or mopped. There was leftover trash and old food under the bed and in the corners. We got really grossed out and wondered what else wasn’t properly cleaned. We called Jamie and he came immediately to fix the issue. He swept and “mopped” (there was no mop so he used wet towels) A for effort but… if there’s no mop then how do the floors get cleaned?? He assured us that the cleaning lady had been there earlier. Not sure who is to blame, but the cleaning was not done properly. With that being said, every other part of our stay was great.
