Fun, arty rehab of an old roadside motel. It’s ok.

If you’ve seen Schitt’s Creek, this is like that. An old, rundown roadside motel that has been refreshed with new paint and nice amenities, but no changes to the original room size or orientation. It was on the bad edge of downtown - easily walkable to shops and restaurants, but don’t go the wrong direction. It’s a nice enough place, but no front desk (they assign you a lock code for your room, so there is no “check in” process). Their gimmick is that each room has art on the walls. It’s fun and funky, but I’ll probably look elsewhere at the price point.

My husband and I make an annual trip through Kennett Square and I was excited to find a new hotel. This is such a lovely place—the art is a great touch, the no-contact check-in was easy and the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. It’s a small thing but the cream in the fridge for coffee was a lovely touch. It’s within walking distance to a breakfast place (Hanks, right next door), the Creamery and at least one brewery. And a less than 10 min drive to Longwood. Great place.

Super clean, artsy, comfortable boutique hotel.

A great getaway. Art in the room is beautiful, and the rooms are spotless. Everything seems new and fresh. Enjoyed the complementary Nespresso. Contactless check-in was easy. On-site restaurant “Hanks Place” offers excellent breakfast and lunch options, and the hotel is within walking distance of many other restaurants, brew houses, and various shops. We will definitely be back.
