Sleepless Night
This past Saturday, My husband and i frequent this location when we travel to the area because the rates and cleanliness and location are generally agreeable. Hotel room was clean, fixtures need some updates, price for the night was amazing. Unfortunately we never got to sleep due to noisy and abnoxious neighbors next door to us in room 206. (We were in 205) This motel has no insulation, therefore thin walls. (That's expected of any motel.) There needs to be an off duty cop employed as well as a 3rd shift (11pm - 7am) employee to manage hourly noise disturbances. I won't be staying here until a form of property security is in place to address guest issues, such as noise complaints.

4/10 Fair

I’m a world traveler and really was optimistic that this location would offer an authentic Bavarian experience. Sadly, everything fell short of my expectations, including this hotel. I truly feel badly for the new owners, as they are struggling to recover from the COVID years and are very helpful in trying to make things right, but the price for a three-night stay was outrageous for this facility. Very dire need for repairs and basic maintenance, which the owner said is planned for the very near future. Honestly, when all is said and done, if you’re staying in Helen for more than a day?? Save your money and just go to Germany, Switzerland, or Austria for the real Alpine experience. You’ll get more bang for your buck and authenticity, vs a tourist trap.

A little heavenly place in Helen
I booked The Alpine Motel for a quick holiday trip. I was beyond pleased with choice. First of all, the sevice was exceptional. The family that owns this establishment never made me feel as if we were a bother. They gladly obliged my requests. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The location is EXCELLENT. We had easy access to Helen and is very close to the shopping district. The motel was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. There is so much to do.We spent very little time in the room. The beds were my least favorite part. They were very firm for my liking, but you can't please everyone. If you want affordable, clean, and accomodating, this is your place!!

For the surge price due to Oktoberfest, it was about what I expected. Nothing special, but a good option to stay overnight after celebrating & drinking in Helen all day. Would not stay here more than a night though, the shower and bathroom area did not appear very clean, there was urine in the stairwell (dog urine... I hope) which smelt awful. The rooms were also a bit muggy. The staff member that helped us check in was friendly however.
