I had high expectations for this property due to the historic nature of the building, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst accommodation of our entire trip through Italy. We stayed in a variety of places—hotels, Airbnbs, agriturismos—and this was by far the most disappointing.
The main issue was the bathroom, specifically the hot water supply. As a family of four, having reliable hot water is essential. Sadly, it was completely inconsistent. Sometimes the hot water would stop midway through a shower, and I was the most unlucky one-- never had any hot water at all—despite waiting 10 minutes each time, standing in freezing conditions (it was 12°C that night). It made what should have been a relaxing experience after a long day sightseeing, uncomfortable.
The only reason I’m giving any stars at all is because of the wonderful service from Giuseppe and Marco. Giuseppe in particular went out of his way to help us—he found us a nearby parking garage, fixed the Wi-Fi when it wasn’t working, and was always quick to respond to messages. Their support was much appreciated, but unfortunately, even their best efforts couldn’t resolve the ongoing water issues.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this experience impacted our trip, and I feel it’s important to share for anyone considering this property during the colder seasons. Until the water issues are fully resolved, I can't recommend this place.
