Quiet and comfortable.
Perhaps the most important thing to me, after staying in a Lima hotel on a noisy street, was staying in a quiet neighborhood. Motels have no control over how noisy a neighborhood may be. But currently Janer House neighbors (it's a residential area) make practically no noise at all. Also, I appreciated having a fridge and micro. I'd stay at Janer House again.

Not a bad place to stay if you’re just looking for an economical rental. There was no hot water in the shower however. I asked several times for someone to come and check to fix it, but every time I asked they would say someone was coming, but no one ever did. The area was a little bit rundown, but it is close to the university in several restaurants and in a decently central location, depending on where you want to be.

The area is somewhat questionable where individual safety is concerned. It was pretty noisy, I could hear every move the other tenants made. I wouldn’t recommend it for women traveling alone but it could be suitable for men and families.
