We’ve stayed at several properties in the Greenport area and this was our first time at Silver Sands; we loved it! The rooms were updated, clean and cute. The beach access was a huge plus, as well as on site restaurants. They don’t charge for parking (as some hotels nearby are starting to do) and the location is central to Greenport Village and the wineries. We went for an anniversary trip and stayed in the motel section but would definitely come back with the kids and try out the bungalows! Overall great trip and would recommend to others; we will be back!

I loved the vintage vibe, the private beach!!, the great customer service (Charlotte, David, Melissa), clean rooms with the best water pressure on a shower/immediate hot water, cute back patio area, attentive housekeeping, on-site dining options, bikes, and proximity to town & other sites. Things to adjust

Stay was great, room very clean. Only thing I would change is add an extra summer quilt/ blanket and lower room divider or move TV. For those who like to watch TV in bed late at night, difficult to view TV with room divider in Queen rooms.

Lovely, cute retro property, very conveniently located. I did not get to try the restaurants, alas, which looked very good. I felt the regular rooms could use better sound-proofing, would likely opt for a cabin if I stayed again, and the fans were loud when they came on. The patio option was less special than I had hoped, as it looks over parking area. The regular front porch was fine, with nice view of water.

Beautiful, peaceful, lifetime of memories

Beautiful and peaceful place. Everything was clean and new. The restaurant staff and front desk staff were very friendly. Not sure if they were the owners or the manager, but they were not friendly, actually had a condescending attitude, and made us feel like we were bothering her when we were buying their $80 hoodies. Other than that one person who was asked to help us with the hoodies, everything was perfect and beautiful. Even the food was great! The staff at the restaurant was excellent. I would love to make lifetime of memories here.

Our room was very comfortable with an interesting choice of decor. The staff was very congenial and helpful, and you could feel the pride that they have in their facility. Breakfast in the diner was also delicious and fresh. The only problem that we had is that although there were many viewing options on the TV, we could not find our favorite channels on live TV. Could be that we’re just not as tech savvy as we thought.

Silver Sands is a great place to explore the North Fork from and enjoy the water. The room was lovely and the beach was great; the decor and style of the whole place was topnotch. They didn't have coffee makers in the room which seemed strange and you had to buy it from the "cafe", which seemed a little over the top considering the price of the rooms. We were told that as guests we could just walk up to the bar at the restaurant and order drinks, but when we went we were told it would take over 20 minutes for us to even order. For a drink?

Super hip and colorful place! All employees on the premises were really kind and helpful. I read on a previous review that there was complimentary coffee in mornings however in the morning we were directed to Nookies, the diner for coffee, where we received very small coffees that were charged to our room.. Additionally, I called before our stay as it was my mother’s birthday, and asked if there was any way they could write a card saying happy birthday to surprise her. Instead, I was directed to another employee to discuss “add-on packages,” which I declined as I felt that to be unnecessary. There was no card written which was a little disappointing. Overall would come back as the grounds were very well kept.
