The ocean view was stunning literally steps away from the beach sunrises and sunsets were a highlight! It was very comfy and cozy and tons of places to eat and have cocktails nearby; Mike was absolutely amazing and accommodating he is the true definition of a Host and made our stay even more delightful we will definitely be returning to Mares Guesthouse !!!

The location was amazing. We ate breakfast out on our own private balcony every morning overlooking the beach. We had a small issue, the microwave didn't work, and they replaced it within a few hours. Lovely place to stay!

We went for a quick trip to PR for a wedding and stayed at this hotel for only three nights and ended up with bed bugs bites all over. The first day, we thought it was just mosquitoes and then we realized after reaching home that it was not give that we had hundreds of bites on our bodies especially arms and legs. I reached out to the hotel and they denied having bedbugs. The hotel was in a nice local and we had room 6 with a beautiful ocean view but the hotel was dingy and dirty.

My wife and I stayed here for a Valentine's day getaway as part of a larger Puerto Rican vacation. Mares was amazing, right across the beach, clean, and next to several great bars and restaurants. Ricon, with it's amazing swimming beaches is only a 15 minute drive away. The room was clean. They also left a special Valentine's gift basket with wine and chocolate. It was really wonderful

Really nice place, we had the top floor and that means you have the enormous terrace, or rather, these three enormous terraces on three different sides of the apartment. The beds were comfortable, the view was amazing, the amenities were more than adequate for fixing breakfast and dinner and the location was perfect for going surfing. Mike, our host, was available over the phone and he was super helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay as welcoming as possible.
