I must have went during off season but that’s okay because it was nice and quiet. I only seen one staff member there the whole time and she was great! My only thing was I thought I had booked a single cabin but mine was actually right next to the office and attached to the laundry room and so that was a let down but it was still a nice stay.

The Cabins need to be refurbished, but very clean. To much snow & ice all around. But the sightseeing by a car was beautiful

Really old cabin probably from the 70ies, not very clean. The 2 bedrooms are actually more one bedroom: it's the upper floor and you only have a 'door' made of plywood. Overall pretty disappointing and not worth the price.

This property is only for those who want to rough it and go hiking on Grand Mesa. It's a small step up from camping. It is a long way from any interstate, and the access from the north would not be very safe in rain or snowy conditions. One window on our cabin was broken and taped up, and the door didn't have a deadbolt, so we slept with our suitcases piled in front of it to feel semi-safe. We only had a partial roll of toilet paper, so I had to drive to the reception desk very early in the morning when we ran out. The road to our cabin was very rough and full of large potholes; the path from our parking spot was downhill, uneven and full of rocks. Don't go here with luggage!

Was a little disappointed that we did not realize the elivatiom of the lodge. It is above 10,000 feet and you climb fairly quickly. I suffered from elevation sickness and was unable to breathe. We also found the restaurant was closed on Thursdays but nothing is mentioned on the website. The gentleman that was working was helpful with my shortness of breath and offered oxygen for me to breath. I called the reservation line and asked for a refund for our second night as theere was no amenities open for food and the breathing issues i was having. They would not refund us the second night stay. Very disappointed that they do not advertise the reataurant being closeed or mention the height of the lodge above sea level.

The cabins were cute but the fact that they were so old and not really taken care of was my biggest concern. The location is absolutely amazing but it’s just not kept up.
