The location is exceptional . In the middle of everything and walkable to bus stops for the airport and excursions . Couldn’t be easier . I had a single solo room and it was in the main building and quiet as I was toward the back of the building . Bed comfortable , had a refrigerator and a spacious bathroom with spacious shower w/ enclosure . The breakfast buffet was nice with a decent selection of items . Will definately stay here again when in Reykjavík.

Cant fault the hotel or location, be mindful it is on a main street with lots of bars so it can be quite noisy at night. Thats the only downside. But you can close the window to dull the noise

Slept on mattresses that were laid on the floor. The bathroom smelled like sewage and was about the size of the toilet on the 737 Icelandair plane.There was only one small window for ventilation.

Good location, but because it is close to good bars it is a little noisy in the evening. Quiet by midnight. The bathroom was dated and the shower and tiles looked old. This was the only place we stayed in all of Iceland (entire Ring Road) that had a strong sulphur smell from the taps and shower. Even our previous hotel in Reykjavik at the start of the trip did not have this smell. Just to note for those who are sensitive. For a one night stay it was fine.

Great place/location

Great little place. Great value. It's on the same street as the Lebowski bar, and only a block away. Great, friendly staff. My ONLY complaint is that the shower was so small. I'm 6' 3" and there was absolutely no way to bend my legs and properly wash my feet as the shower is very cramped.

Great early May visit!

We ended our 10 day south coast trip at Hotel From and we were not disappointed. It was and is in a great location! We were able to walk to all the places left on our list. The breakfast was abundant and varied. We were four adults and had an apartment room. We were happily surprised by the space we had! If you have a car, find a parking garage! On street parking is not really an option. Three of the four front desk staff we encountered could have been more friendly but they answered our questions. Overall - We would definitely stay again!

Rasa for the win

Rasa the front desk receptionist legitimately saved my life. I was robbed in Iceland and was completely stranded. Rasa helped me any way she could, and I managed to make it back home!! Truly the nicest receptionist I have ever encountered and she went above and beyond to try to help me.

Good location, quiet rooms despite busy street. Nice to have a kettle and fridge in the room. I have stayed here before and would again. The room wasnt as clean as I might have liked, there was a few stray hairs in the bedding (thankfully that was *all* I found when I checked) and the room was quite dusty. Bathrooms are tiny and have a very strong sulfur smell, takes some time to get cold drinking water. Staff was helpful and able to grant early check in.
