Breath of fresh air

Perfect getaway from Vegas. The beds were really comfy and the lobby is kind of like a museum mixed w lodge. Booked the room w a balcony and my family loved it!

A little much. I was with a buddy. This place was kinda too nice. I would get a nice place like this for a wife or girlfriend but not for a buddy. I hope this is a compliment to most folks. The place is nice.

The Retreat

Great price for a weekday @$90.00+tax. A quaint & rustic feel. Rooms were good sized. Quiet. Has a restaurant & a separate bar & a snack shop open 24 hours. Easy parking. Stayed over for a next day hike in the Spring Mountains. Excellent proximity to a myriad of hiking trails

Cozy l

Dont listen to the negative reviews if you dont mind the little imperfections , this was an amazing spot to get away from the Vegas heat, city temp right now is in the low 100s but man does it feel good to be up there in the mountains at a nice cool breezy low 70s down to 60 at night . Get the balcony room if you can its well worth the views

It was beautiful

It was amazing just no elevator and no upgrades to the rooms, very out dated graffiti on the ceiling banisters and the Apple TV didn’t work but the atmosphere was beautiful enjoyed the view.

Old hotel that needs upgrade. Worth experience.

The room had lots of stains everywhere, scuffs, old shower, and the bathroom sink slowly drained. It’s an old hotel, and considering its history, it’s still a decent stay. It’s just in dire need of a revamp. Even as simple as replacing lamps and remodeling bathrooms would do the place wonders. Staff was really nice. I loved the pet friendly atmosphere. The balconies of the room had great views, fresh air, and a comfortable place to decompress. The food at the restaurant was great. Outside was cool. It’s just a really old hotel that hasn’t had an upgrade for probably 20 years in certain aspects, and in other aspects, probably closer to 50 years.

The location is great! The property has a lot of deferred maintenance and the restaurant food was very disappointing (breakfast and dinner). Staff are nice and courteous. Rooms are clean.

Judy, 1-night trip

Mount Charleston is a beautiful escape from Vegas. We enjoyed the views from our 3rd floor room with balcony. The staff at the front desk, bar and restaurant were friendly. The property itself is a little run down and could use some updates but it was perfect for a quick getaway.

Mountain retreat

Great rustic, historic, mountain property. Good price for the type of room it was. No elevator so be sure you can do stairs if you get 2nd floor or 3rd floor. Nice get away. Nothing broken but needs some cosmetic renovation needed. Staff was very good and helpful.

This find was amazing! Super cute, older facility with a great restaurant and amazing staff working their tails off on the busy Memorial Day weekend. We would go there again if we are in that area.

Affordable Getaway from Vegas Heat

I wanted to beat the Vegas heat and was able to book a room with a balcony the day before. As many have mentioned, the property is outdated, but the scenery more than makes up for it. I loved that it was pet friendly, my doggie enjoyed the property as well.
SKYLAR, 1-night trip

The Retreat on Charlston Peak is a beautiful property and an exquisite location. We enjoyed the craft fair, and even bustling with people, it’s peaceful here. The restaurant was terrific, especially the breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.
