Nice place and good parking
Overnight stay with my Wife for a concert down the road at the Apollo. The reception staff were excellent, efficient and pleasant and the reception area welcoming. The room at first was clean and well presented but very cold until the heating finally kicked in. Later on the bar area was good but a long wait for drinks. Overall excellent and we would return if in the area.

Bad first impression
Really nice rooms and comfy bed but the initial service wasn’t great. I felt the receptionist was abrupt when checking in. I understand check in is at 3pm but I asked about 2.20 and was told no rooms are ready which I said OK and then he continued loudly “well our check in is at 3 ma’am and we don’t have rooms ready so you need to wait in the bar”. It was quite embarrassing because I wasn’t even questioning it. The disabled toilet that my mum used whilst we were waiting to check in was covered in urine and it smelt bad. We then rushed to the spa where I was told I had to pay to use facilities, which is strange for a Marriott but I was fine with, I just went back to the room. I think we got off to a bad first impression which spoilt the stay a little. Nothing was special about our experience there, although the rooms were lovely.

The room wasnt ready till 4pm, the room is spacious but dusty. There was no phone in the room to call room service or reception we went to the reception to complain they said they will install it but no one came. More than three times we kept telling them to install the phone becuase we cant keep going down to the reception everytime we need something. They gave us a phone number to call from our phones, we ordered 2 esspressos but was surprised that they charge 5 pound for delivery. Room servic that charge delivery charge what the hell so cheap

Lovely comfortable stay
The room exceeded our expectations - a decent size, very quiet, and we loved the separate shower and bath set up. Unfortunately they don't have a pillow menu like other places we've stayed at and my husband found the ones we did have to be uncomfortable. There's also no phone in the room, so to speak to reception etc you need to call the public number on Google. Other than that the staff were all very friendly and attentive.

Luxury for a reasonable price
Great modern building with spacious rooms. The bathroom was luxurious - featuring a bathtub and separate shower. The soaps smelled wonderful Also - nods to the bands New Order and Joy Division throughout the property

Family weekend
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a good location right next to Picadilly station. We ate in the bar restaurant on one night and the food was very good. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will stay again when we are next in the city.
