Stunning property, great food and staff. The only catch is that high tide/low tide makes it almost impossible to swim (in January it’s low tide until 4pm).

My only con was that the food was just okay and there is no food, snacks or any other options available easily outside of the set times for meals. No amenities nearby but a great place to get away and relax by the pool and private beach.

Toa was the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. Truly 5 stars. From the amazing rooms, to the food options. I had dinner on the beach twice during my stay and it was soo romantic and ethereal definitely something I will always remember. Got an amazing massage as well during my stay, I highly recommend using their spa facilities. The staff was the most amazing part, so genuine and each and everyone went above and beyond they anticipated anything I needed and was there before I could ask. The staff saved us a sandwich because their kitchen was closed and our flight was delayed so they thought of us. That was really nice. The staff is friendly and nice. I was a little disappointed because The sea view is not really sea view. We left a message for the hotel through Expedia to see if they had an airport shuttle but no response. You can see the sea through what looks to be a soon to be construction site. The all inclusive was not in my booking. Only breakfast was included but I didn’t have the energy to argue about it even though the lady at the front desk was polite about it and asked me to check with the day staff. The cleaners are always talking infront of your balcony so I was woken up early a few times. The breakfast was good.

TOA hotel was much better than we were expecting, we stayed for 4 nights for our honeymoon. Loads of great things about the hotel are : really modern, clean, great breeze (minimal mosquitos), right by the beach, private beach with lots of sun beds and umbrellas. They had entertainment on a Saturday and the food was really good each night. It’s about 1hr drive from stone town so that’s the only con if you want to be in that area but it seemed really busy in stone town when we were there so I preferred the east side with beaches.

TOA is a new facility in the as-yet unspoiled Pongwe Beach area. The facility itself is beautiful, and kept immaculately clean. The staff are unfailingly kind, helpful and efficient, and everyone greets you with a smile and warmth. The food is delicious and beautifully prepared, and the grounds and amenities are spotless and carefully maintained. The most memorable part of the stay is the staff; I cannot say enough about how kind and generous they are. I highly recommend a stay at TOA.

The customer service at this Hotel is second to none. I am particularly impressed with the food and Beverages Manager Mr Kalei. He is very hardworking and is on top of everything. He made sure we were very comfortable and happy with the service. He is a great asset to the team. The General Manager Mr Ally was very hospitable and humble. The staff are great. Food is great and a lot of healthy options. Staff are honest. Lost my wallet with a lot of money in it and it was taken to the reception without a penny missing. I rate them 10/10

Toa was a w9nderful experience. I came here with my husband after leaving stone town for our anniversary and they did not disappoint. We arrived early ( before check in time) and were accomadated with a temporary room. During this wait period our honeymoom suite qith private pool room was occupied by a couple who had become ill. For our inconvenience we were upgraded to all inclusive. Ali the manager as well as all the staff eent above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We learned every single persons name and stayed up late many times at the pool bar lauging and learning new songs with the staff. The food was outstanding, different every night and available in the beach. The entertainment was beyond and even got me dancing, not your standard large resort cheesy entertainment. The beach was lovely, high tide good for swimming and low tide you can walk out for at least 500 meters. I would rate this as one of my best stays of all my abroud travels. If you see any poor reviews of this place or the staff, that person must be insane or just not down to have a good time.This was my first time in Africa but wont be my last. Thank you Toa
