A 3 week trip to Norway. We stayed in 4 hotels - 3 of these Scandic properties. The Victoria was recommended by a travel agent and friends. It is close to major Oslo attractions but located in a largely business area so feels less safe at night. Of the 4 hotels, this one shows its age. The shower is just a dribble, the shower drain doesn’t so the floor gets wet. The lobby coffee machine didn’t work. And, this is the only place we had to check in at breakfast rather than just walk in. We preferred the Anker in Oslo as a better location and in better condition for a similar price.

Breakfast and location were major wins. However, the air conditioning didn’t work in any of our three rooms. Front desk tried to charge us extra to check in at 4p (advertised time) which was sneaky. We’ve stayed at other Scandic hotels with a much better experience. If we go back to Oslo, we will stay at a different Scandic hotel and so should you.

Very good position for exploring Oslo, though quite a long walk from the railway and bus stations. Room was adequate, clean and comfortable, but there was no safe or even a cupboard to store things. Very noisy some evenings with loud music coming from a nearby club. Staff were all very pleasant. Breakfast was reasonable but the lay out sometimes made it slightly chaotic

It is a great hotel for visiting Oslo. It takes only minutes to the harbour, the castle and to the main shopping area. The rooms and the beds are comfortable, everything was very clean. Breakfast was delicious!

The hotel was ok. The whole building has an air circulation system, which leads to a constant noise in the room. This cannot be turned off, so you can't sleep without Oropax. The reception was rather indifferent except for a very friendly employee. The cleaning of the room was rudimentary (beds made, surfaces not wiped). We expected more, because we knew the Scandic hotel in Helsinki, which is very nice. Nevertheless, the location of the hotel is convenient and the breakfast was good. So a solid „satisfied“ is ok.
