Really nice room and beautiful hotel overall. The staff were amazing and super helpful. Hotel is very accomodating and even made me breakfast sandwich to go due to an early start time. The hotel is located in the national park which can be good to know. I would definitely recommend hiring a car, scooter or bike to move around with more ease and will also give you more options for eating out. Highly recommend!

There is a lot to like about Alito Hotel. The location is fantastic; you really can’t get too much closer to the ruins, if that’s on your bucket list. The beautiful beach is right there, and they have a pretty darn good breakfast that’s included. Rooms are a bit dated, but that also adds to the charm. Staff are very pleasant, as long as you don’t go to the water cooler too many times. But therein lies the rub. Because one is required to discard plastic water bottles upon entering the Zona Archeologica, there is no way to access potable water aside from what you can get from Alito. Their single water dispenser is located near the front desk, and we went there often to refill our glasses and reusable bottle. After about the sixth time in one day, they started giving us some pointed looks. There were two times that we went to the water dispenser and it was empty, and there was no one at the front desk. We tried going down to the restaurant for water, but they denied us outright unless we bought something. Fortunately I had an old water filter that I had packed, otherwise I’m not sure what we would have done. Basically, it seemed as though the aim of Alito was for us to be dependent upon getting our drinks through the restaurant, at their set prices. Since there are no markets within easy walking distance, this put us in a difficult position with regards to the basic necessity of hydration. Price is decent for hotels along this strip, and the place is comforta

Beautiful location

It turn out to be an excellent place for us. Clean, spacious, practical and convenient. This place is located right at the beach with great sitting and lounging areas. Bar and restaurant is good. And Mayan ruins are a walking distance.

10/10 Exceptional

Our stay at Alito was great! Staying at the beach in Tulum is beyond worth the investment, getting into the ‘park’ the beach is on has long lines in the morning that you’ll want to avoid. It was a quiet and clean stay, the room was cleaned every day and kept cold. The food at the hotel was lovely, the free breakfast was a great deal and tasty. Great experience!

The Staff was Knowledgeable about the area, friendly, and really accommodating. Food was excellent. A very unique and underrated property. 10/10 highly recommend.
Wayne, 6-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The property is located in a national park within walking distance of Tulum ruins. Felt very safe. It is a bit costly to stay within the park. Many fees for the park and ruins. There are electric carts that run between the entrance, Tulum ruins, beaches and the museum that are very convenient. The front desk staff were fantastic! Food was great and the rooms are unique. Stucco inside and thatch roof made it feel like we were in a hut..glad it didn't rain! Some rooms have showers and toilet outside which offers sufficient privacy. Property was well maintained but the beach had too much seaweed. Overall great experience!

Have to pay park fees as international travellers for one night stay. Not worth it. Food OK but over priced.

Guadalupe, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Everyone is extremely nice and helpful to any accommodations or concerns you have. The property is beautiful with less foot traffic on the beach. The rooms are adorable with a big bathroom and natural light. There was a bar and dining option on the hotels beach front.
Frances, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We stayed in one of the air conditioned room so we didn't have issues with heat or humidity during sleep.. The beach is really, really nice, the restaurant is literally on the beach and they serve you at your beach bed also during the day under the palm trees.
Tamas, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

Had a wonderful time with my adult kids! They loved the beach bungalows and I was happy to be on the 2nd floor in the main area. AC was wonderful when coming in from the beach. Water pressure was not good but understandable for the location. Beach was beautiful and being able to take a boat from the shore to go snorkeling was a bonus. The staff and taxi drivers were wonderful!!!
RUELDY, 5-night trip

2/10 Poor

The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, however, the rest of the hotel was cold, uninviting, and felt like a prison cell. I would not recommend this hotel. After 3 days I had to come home due to an unexpected emergency and the hotel did not refund me.
Laura, 7-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It was quiet, beautiful. area. The property had plenty of options for shaded seating at the beach, as well as a shower and bathroom near the beach. Staff was great and very helpful. We enjpyed the restaurant. We ate breakfast which was included and had a reasonably priced dinner every night. We had been to the area several times, so we weren't interested in that. We had also been to the ruins, which is a short walk to the end ofthe beach, we didn't go in. There is a charge from the National Park when you enter that area, but it was much. They keep the area patrolled and it felt safe. The park is eco feiendly so no plastic bottles allowed, which we apprecited. The hotel had water available for guests. We liked the casitas, they aren't fancy, but the bed was good, they were cleaned daily. The bathrooms are open air (no ceiling) but private and adequate. The best part for us was we were 50 yards feom the beach, step out of the door onto the sand and your there.
Lee, 11-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The food and cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced. The included breakfast was a nice bonus to the stay. The rooms were kept clean. We brought a lot of sand in the room daily and housekeeping did a great job keep the floors clean. David, the manager, was exceptional! The front desk staff always helped us get our taxi and anything else we needed. The property is nicer than photographs shown on the site. I’d not only visit again but recommend friends who want a nice beachfront, to check out Alito.
