A return to MJ’s after 5 years, and the large, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff and quirky decor were all as we remembered them from previously.. Great place to stay!

MJ's is a real gem in Malmö. The room was quiet and cosy and had everything we needed. The breakfast offering is extensive with many hot and cold options available - I also enjoyed the smoothies and juices. Staff were really helpful and knowledgable on the local area. 10/10, would recommend to a friend!

I had an extremely discouraging experience on what was otherwise a delightful time at MJ's. On May 24th, an unwell man approached me in a secluded wing of the hotel at the elevator, spat at me and said other awful remarks. I RAN to the lobby for fear of safety concerns and general security onsite. This man was NOT a guest of the property and the managing staff seemed relatively unbothered by my encounter and offered no reassurances for this type of dangerous person to not enter the building again. As a solo female traveler this type of encounter is nerve-racking. The rest of the trip I felt unnerved and sadly diminished what was otherwise a beautiful stay in a wonderful hotel space. The key card access to lodging needs to be reevaluated as a baseline safety concern.

Despite all the good reviews, sadly, our stay didn’t meet expectations. Compared to the price your pay per night, i didn’t find it satisfactory. We booked a basic double room. The springs in one side of the bed were broken, so it wasn’t comfortable to lay in that side. The mini fridge was broken, and despite saying this to the staff it wasn’t fixed during our stay. The staff were really friendly and pleasant though. Not the best experience sadly, however the hotel itself was really cosy, charming and had a special vibe to it, which is why we chose it. I’m sure many of the other rooms are fine(considering all the good reviews) and we were just unlucky, unfortunately. Probably won’t be back for another stay, we will most likely try another place next time.

MJ’s er et fedt hotel på alle måder. Stemningen er god og cozy, værelserne er lækre og maden er super god. Bemærk at der på visse værelser ikke er chromecast eller kaffe, så det skal med i overvejelserne.

Hade förväntat mig mer

Hotellet är fint och med trevliga miljöer. När vi kom till rummet saknades en handduk. Gick ner och bad om en men den kom aldrig så vi fick dela. Vi sökte glas till drycken i minibaren men det saknades, så jag ringde receptionen. Men flera försök slutade i telefonsvararen. På kvällen hade handduken kommit men när vi la oss upptäckte vi att det även saknades ett täckte. Frukosten var mycket bra och hotellet ligger perfekt placerat i stan.
