Hotel was great, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good location. The restaurant was not very good at all. Went for breakfast and was served coffee with dirty dishes. The cream cup had lipstick on it and the coffee cup looked to have dried up soap on the rim. Tacos served at breakfast they should really be ashamed of being in San Antonio. The eggs were beat to death making them flat and the chorizo mixed in was obviously burnt leaving a bitter taste. Also I’m not sure if this is a thing but they served hot fruit on the plates and it was very disgusting. Hotel is great the restaurant needs lots of work. Good thing there are lots of other restaurants on the river walk to go to in a short distance from here

Great hotel
The hotel and room were amazing, we were totally impressed with the room. We had a few exceptions though. In the restaurant for breakfast, the first coffee brought was cold. The shower was an adventure. You would set the water to the temperature you wanted and then after a while, it went to scalding hot, then to total cold, then back to the original setting. Then it would repeat tje cycle. On of the beds had a corner that stuck out past the mattress and it was brutal!.I was able to knock a hole in my shin while walking by! Fix these few things and we would gladly return!

Couples trip at the Hotel Contessa in San Antonio
Our stay was comfortable and nice with a great location in San Antonio. While the photos accurately describe the suites, the rooms were a bit tired with carpet that did not look or feel fresh as well as the furniture (tired and worn). Bed was comfortable as were pillows. Design of space great! I would say the value was not on par with cost - compared to other properties I looked at which did leave me feeling disappointed.

Love, love, love this hotel!
We always love staying at the Contessa. We are a middle aged couple with grown children and we take weekend trips here and there. We choose this hotel for its luxury feeling, convenience of area and everything located around it, but mostly the friendly staff from everyone from front desk to bartenders. The fact they remember us and seem always happy to see us makes our mini trips even better. I completely recommend this hotel for a comfortable & great stay!
