Stillwater is now a weekend town.
This was a midweek overnight getaway to quaint, historical Stillwater. Amazingly, many of the shops and restaurants have cutback to only weekend openings, which was disappointing. The "new" inn doesn't have the old charm of the original building, but certainly has all the modern features. The add-on parking charge felt wrong.

We had a great time. Charlie’s Irish pub downstairs had live music at night but with the soundproof room you wouldn’t know. Only thing. If you get a vault room… your bathroom is the vault… your doors might not close all the way. Our furniture was damaged as well. Could use with a maintenance sweep to look for small repairs that are needed.

Look Elsewhere For The Price
Not impressed with this hotel at all. Lady at front desk was very unwelcoming and definitely could use a course on being personable. When we got to our room first thing we noticed was 2 light bulbs out which really made an already dark room worst. 2 of the trash cans had garbage still in them. Bathroom toilet paper role was basically empty and needed to hold the handle down for a while so it would flush. Tried to get more light in the room by opening the roller blinds but they are SO old and wouldn't role up. They were filthy and had torns/stains. For the money they charge I would say look elsewhere down the street which are much nicer. Realize our room was in the older part of the hotel but for the price they charge why not update some of the little things. Newer part looks nice but also much more expensive.

We had a great time while at the hotel. The only thing we did not like was the fact they charge for parking and added city tax once we checked in, which was not explained by Expedia.

The unit did require some maintenance. The shower connection on the wall was at risk of disconnecting. The toilet had a tendency to continue to flush after use. Not easy to sleep with water running. I was however able to fix it myself.
