Definitely a reasonable place to stay in Aswan
A mixed bag, mostly decent. The hotel is on an island which has an efficient boat service connecting it to the dock. The gardens are really well maintained and pleasant. However, the hotel isn’t cheap and check in was not well managed - slow and unwelcoming. Having put a review in, the customer relations team did respond well and gave a free connection to our cruise boat up the Nile. Breakfast was not great, lots of choice but not the best quality. Lovely view from the 13th floor restaurant and the staff we mostly friendly and helpful with some exceptions.

We had a fantastic stay at Movenpick celebrating our anniversary. The room service food was excellent, as was the dinner we had at the Panorama Restaurant. The staff is super sweet and the grounds/hotel are beautiful. Excellent breakfast as well.

Perfect location and service in Aswan.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Mövenpick in Aswan. The location on a small island offers a great view of the Nile. The service is always attentive and friendly. Our room was spacious and had all that we need. The breakfast and the buffet dinner in the Elephantine restaurant is outstanding. Only the gym and the spa is just average and a bit dated.

Barely a 3 star hotel
Maybe there was a time that this hotel was great. We stayed at the “new” part and had a nice view but the bed was not comfortable at all, sink would overflow in couple of seconds and the shower hose was broken and raptured. They “fixed” these after we told them next day, but just a little faster drainage and somehow a still leaky hose with water going hot/cold randomly every minute. Flush wasn’t working properly either. The breakfast was mediocre, after trying the items the best ones were butter and honey and bread and boiled egg. Basically any food that was processed further was worse! (Super oily and stale sambusa or low quality cold cuts …) The only thing that was great was their Egyptian restaurant Mezze. I’ll definitely try to avoid this brand or the “ALL” hotel group if this is one of their best.

We stayed at this hotel with young children in a family suite. Well, the hotel looks to have aged a little bit from the outside internally. It’s full of character and he’s truly a wonderful sanctuary right in the heart of Aswan. Because the hotel is on an island, you have to get there via a little fairy ride and it is a delightful way to experience the hotel for the first time There are Great dining options inside the hotel and everything is very reasonably priced By far the Best asset of the Hotel are the wonderful staff who truly care for your experience and went out of their way to make sure that our family had a great time.

Mövenpick was kind enough to upgrade me to a bi-level suite. The upgrade was very much appreciated The service, room and food were excellent The hotel is located on an island a short boat ride from the center of old Aswan. The hotel grounds feels almost like being in a five star city The hotel operates a free ferry which runs approximately every five to ten minuets to ferry people from old Aswan to the island People who are elderly or who have disabilities my find getting on and off a medium size boat an issue The hotel is excellent and is probably one of the best hotels in Aswan There are some hustlers on certain streets in Aswan offering carriage rides who are not ethical and will try to put on extreme hard sell pressure or intimidation-beware

Best hotel experience
I didn't know much about this hotel before my stay here. Upon arrival I was immediately impress with the coordination of the staff and service. In was welcomed at "the port" hotel entrance and transferred by the staff by ferry boat and a golf kart. The staff at the front desk did out check in and one young lady manager came to welcome us tells us about the property and informed us that we had recieved a courtesy upgrade. She walked us to our room. It was a two story suite with a balcony. The place was amazing. We ate at the restaurant, my wife used the spa services, we walked the beautiful fruit and vegetable gardens. Every staff member made was courteous and helpful. The many different treats they offered us just added to such an amazing experience. I had extayed in other great hotels in the nearby cities but this was by far the best hotel service we encountered during our two week trip in Egypt. We noticed that our visit was during low season. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any travelers.

Lovely stay
Member of Accor group , cleanliness is ephasize. Staff were fantastic . Location would not please everyone since it's on an island so but there is a boat 24 hours available on the dock. Choose specific room if view is important for the stay. A bit dated but if you love midcentury to 80's like feel , then it wont be a problem. Breakfast had options. Room service is fast , courteous and efficient.

Facility and breakfast is 5 out of 5. Dinner is not good, I went for half board. I struggled to find nice food to eat. Overall the score reflected heavily towards the dinner side. Staff ask if everything is ok, but don't really mind the answers you gave or take a plate full of food away (as the food was not nice and not touched). Somewhat disappointed, but there is McDonald near by if you want to stay with them. Facility is ace.
