I was really hesitant to stay at a Super 8 but with the Virginia Tech graduation we had to be close. The hotel was a good value and clean. I would return without hesitation

Check in was easy and staff was very kind. The rooms were clean, however I was adamant that I needed a non smoking room & they did put me on the “non-smoking” side of the motel which was a separate building from the smoking rooms, but the room still reeked of cigarette smoke. I was pretty disappointed by that as I have a newborn and I myself have asthma. Luckily we had no issues arise because of it. The room also was a bit muggy. Otherwise, our stay was very comfortable!

The customer service was great the convenience was great the best friend in a non-smoking room had multiple cigarette hole Burns which was a huge turn off and there was a loose train between the floors the ceilings were kind of falling on and there was a lot of decay in the property of the room that I stayed in but overall very comfortable stay enjoyed the bed the television options just would be a really wonderful place to stay if there was some updates and repairs to the rooms thank you

Overall, an ok place to stop for the night. The door lock was broken and the towel rack fell off the wall as soon as we tried to get a washcloth. But it was fairly quiet and the beds were comfortable.

On a positive note, the people at the front were very nice and helpful. The breakfast available was good. Regarding the current condition of the hotel, it needs complete overhaul. The bathroom door would not close easily. The AC vent was broken and duct-taped to hold it from falling apart. The carpet in the hallway was very dirty. Though it is a non-smoking hotel, you do see people smoking. The maintenance was average, in the bathroom we found two wet towels left by the previous occupants. The hotel was way overpriced when we booked, for the price we paid we could have stayed in a 3-star hotel.

Good value, nice stay

This motel is a great value. The floor in the room was wood laminate and very clean. We like to walk in our socks when indoors and often have to either resort to slippers in motels, or wash the floor ourselves. Not at this Super 8. The bedding was hotel grade and the beds very comfortable. No issues in the bathroom. We appreciated the continental breakfast with waffels, bread, jam, cereals, and a choice of juice, coffee and tea. The breakfast nook is cute.

The breakfast selection is quite limited. Atmosphere way too noisy at night and when I asked to switch rooms it was even more noisy. The people running the hotel were very hospitable, but this motel caters to workers not Va Tech families. Location of hotel to school was close, a plus. Rooms have holes in walls and doors.
