Room was a bit small for family of 5, but very clean with good amenities, including microwave and washing machine. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Kathleen when we had to check in at night.
4-night trip

This place was super cute and super clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities were excellent. Great location. A few downsides were the hard mattresses and pillows. Rooms were not baby friendly and stairs were a bit challenging.
3-night trip

Great stay with a nice view (7th floor). Nice staff and everything was clean. Pillows are rock-hard so we used our neck-pillows from the flight. Depending on your love for walking, make sure you check how far it is from the stations before you book. To us it was a bit far away, but we were travelling with kids and it was 34 degrees hot outside ☺️

The family suite space worked really well for our family of 4. Although it may have been "small" compared to some hotels we've stayed in, it was much larger than our previous stay in Tokyo. Within the space there is a full kitchenette, living room, bathroom, laundry room, and space for 4 to sleep comfortably. Pretty impressive for a hotel that is so close to so many attractions and transportation options in such a huge city. The front desk staff spoke relatively good English and gave us great recommendations and service, including helping with forwarded luggage and calling cabs to the aiport.

Great place. Helpful staff. Location is far enough away from the busy areas to feel peaceful, but close enough to travel to by foot. We loved our stay in this hotel and neighbourhood. Oh, and the layout of the room was lovely. Traveling with kids.

A great place to stay, the room we booked was for 4 people but I think we were able to fit all out luggages. Kinda far from some of the train stations but walkable to kappabashi street.

Fun hotel with two story rooms built similar to loft beds in the U.S. worked out great for our family. Staff speak great English and location is great to walk to multiple metro stations and Kappabashi

Had an amazing welcome to Japan with my first two nights of my trip at dots.tokyo! Fantastic property, very clean, great room loaded with amenities and an amazing view of the Tokyo Sky Tree! The staff were amazing and very helpful! I really appreciated all my interactions with, Hanaka, Jun and Naho, who were all full of recommendations, and info! I also have to commend them for their prompt responses to my message after I realized I may have forget my EarPods in the room as I had to leave before the front desk was open to catch my Shinkansen. The stay found them, and kept them safe until I retuned to Tokyo a week later! Would happily stay here again on my next visit to Tokyo!

The rooms are a lot smaller in person than the photos make it out to be. Overall was a great stay though I enjoyed being very close to 3 different train stations. Everyone working the front desk is very friendly and welcoming.

The split level is a cool way to provide a seating/eating area in such a small place. The restaurant area north of it is fun!
5-night trip

This ia very nice place. Walking distance to Asakusa and Ueno . The only concern is quite small for a family of 5 to move around esp w luggages so just be mindful since this Tokyo size.
5-night trip

8/10

The room is small for 4 people to stay. Otherwise, the overall stay was not bad.
5-night trip

10/10

The five of us stayed in a relatively small but wonderful room on the seventh floor. We had a perfect view of the Sky Tree from there off the balcony. The beds were comfortable, the staff were very kind, and overall it was a really relaxing stay there!
4-night trip

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed, though it was compact. I booked a family suite for a party of three adults, and this worked well for us.

The hotel has a fun and unique concept when it comes to the layout of the rooms. However, know it's a bit difficult to move around in them, and you’re likely to bump your head, though we were aware of this beforehand so not a problem and the price was good. What really affected our overall experience was an issue with the air conditioning. It started with us not being unable to adjust the settings (it was hot), so we had staff come to the room several times to try. At the last visit, they accidentally turned it off completely and were unable to get it working again. We understand that equipment can break and that repairs take time, but what was more frustrating was having to repeatedly remind the staff about the issue over several days, and sleeping in a hot and humid room. They didn’t have another room available, which we understand, but the bigger issue was that they couldn’t offer any alternative solution (no fan or portable AC). They simply told us they didn’t have any. Personally, in a situation like that, I think the hotel should take the initiative to buy or arrange something. It wasn’t until we spoke with a third staff member on the third day that they finally offered us a fan, which was in fact available. At that point, they were also able to offer us a different room for one night, and they mentioned that a repair technician would come the next day. Nice!!! Perhaps the issue was mainly due to language barriers. They got it fixed eventually :)

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The email arrived when it was supposed to, the codes worked, the staff were on hand and super friendly and helpful - from helping us with the washing machine to the AC...awesome customer service. They even had complimentary toothbrushes, pjs and slippers. Great selection of shops for food nearby. The only down side was the walk from the train or metro was a good 750 m - our fault for not checking.

The staff in the hotel was very very kindly to inform all the details we need to know. And always smile and show their professional. And the location is wonderful from Narita airport. Use Skyliner to the big station “Ueno station” which is most railway line will stop BTW extraordinary
3-night trip

8/10

Everything was great about this place! However if you’re not comfortable with very hard springed bed it’s not really for you? If you can get over that, this place is wonderful. The staff are the best, amazing!
3-night trip

4/10

The room is not enough space for 3 persons and specifically for luggage packing
2-night trip

10/10

With no idea where to stay in Tokyo, we loved our 7 days at dots.tokyo for its location, style, and value. It is compact, yet thoughtful in modern design with good use of space. The mezzanine bed gave us a small living area which many hotels don't offer. We elected to get two rooms for our family of four and that worked really well. The Taito area is quaint and has lots of character, so strolling the streets is lovely - there's many great restaurants and a Family Mart just down the road. Walking to shops or the train was easy, yet we felt a little out of the bustle which was nice. The reception had long open hours, and lovely friendly staff there to help if you needed. Things to note - Japanese tend to sleep on hard mattresses and pillows, so this took a bit of getting used to. Otherwise, no complaints.
8-night trip

6/10

The property is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood and a 10-15min walk to subway and also Ueno and Asakusa. The property is clean and nice with loft style sitting area but it’s a lot small than what appears in photos. We had a triple room for 3 adults so 1 of us had to sleep on the sofa bed which left no place for others to sit down so we ended up using the small steps as our seats. The entrance/hallway is super narrow so only one person fits at a time. The photos also don’t show how little room there is (1/2 m) between the end of beds and the wall so everything was a squeeze. There’s a “wardrobe” next to the beds but it was hard to get to as we weren’t able to stand up to wheel in our suitcases. The bathroom felt the most spacious in the entire room. Overall we like the location and look of the room but the triple room was way too small for 3 people and the photos don’t reflect that.
